Mother Maxstar and I received our cards yesterday. Woohoo!!
No dvd though - not particularly fazed by that.
What is rather perplexing is the reserved seating at the G. We all registered as per the instructions and now Mother Maxstar and I are seated in the same row but not in seats next to each other.
I can understand the level 3'rs not sitting the the level 1'rs, but who the hell are two seats and people (with the same last name) who have been seated together at Etihad since the beginning not be seated together.
Surely Eithad could have passed this info on to the G when allocating the seats??

It also appears s=that some MW ers are on Level M and some (incl me) on Level PMaxstar22 wrote:Mother Maxstar and I received our cards yesterday. Woohoo!!

I reckon this silly survey has complicated things more than it needed to, but how can eight people all filling it in saying they want to sit together (our group) suddenly be scattered randomly all over the place?

So all that work and the phone calls we did last week haven't helped in the slightest.saint66au wrote:It also appears s=that some MW ers are on Level M and some (incl me) on Level PMaxstar22 wrote:Mother Maxstar and I received our cards yesterday. Woohoo!!

However, before we lambast the Club from pillar to post for this, I highly suspect this whole seating plan has been done by the MCG. They were the ones who requested the "who do you want to sit next to" info apparently
Hopefully though if there are enough complaints the CLub will register their displeasure on behalf of the members

I agree. I know that it isn't the Clubs fault. I just don't understand how or why Etihad couldn't give the G the info on where everyone already sits.saint66au wrote:VeryMaxstar22 wrote:So all that work and the phone calls we did last week haven't helped in the slightest.saint66au wrote:It also appears s=that some MW ers are on Level M and some (incl me) on Level PMaxstar22 wrote:Mother Maxstar and I received our cards yesterday. Looks like alot of ppl including me didn't get like for like either. At Etihad Mum and I are Row E on the aisle, at the G we are Row FF in the middle and about 7 or 8 seats apart from one another.

If the forum members experiences are anything to go by, I don't think there will be any problems with the club getting enough complaints from their members to show they have been very unhappy with the process. We can only hope they can improve it next year, as we will more than likely have MCG games again. Hopefully the club will follow up with the MCG to improve for next yearsaint66au wrote:VeryMaxstar22 wrote:So all that work and the phone calls we did last week haven't helped in the slightest.saint66au wrote:It also appears s=that some MW ers are on Level M and some (incl me) on Level PMaxstar22 wrote:Mother Maxstar and I received our cards yesterday. I'm counting my blessing as we were very lucky in the scheme of things.

Bullshyte, it IS the clubs fault.
Time to stop passing the buck, they stuff up all the bloody time, Grand Final seating in 2009 was a debacle, always reactive trying fix up big messes.
It's up to OUR club to get lines of communication sorted PROPERLY so this stuff doesn't happen.
FFS the Pies play home games at both venues and have for years, you don't hear of stuff up's from their feral supporters do you?
End of rant!

shame to hear that, as in you would happily pay more for a reserved seat (I'm assuming), yet want to keep it as simple as possible due to your lack of faith in the club's ability to get it right?Bernard Shakey wrote:It is the fault of the club and has been happening for more years than I care to count.
I've given up, have basic club membership and will look after my own seating.
I wonder how many times this scenario has happened, which ultimately costs the club in lost revenue.
Correct me if I'm wrong in this thought process....

Absolutely the clubs fault! I'm modifying my membership next year. I'm going for the 11 home game type and will probably drop off the reserved seat option as well as the Age subscription.
I've been a member since 2000 and the marketing/membership department (apart from a brief period when Friend was there) have been generally hopeless during that time.

We've got the tickets for myself and older son who is now a concession instead of a junior (and more that double the price I might add). Tickets came during the week with the seat numbers printed on them. Parents who we go to games with got theirs ok too.
Got my husbands three gamer too which is basically a donation cos he'll be lucky to got to one game a year.
All three were on the rollover plan and came in the same envelope.
Still haven't got the ticket my three year old though. Not that I need it as won't be taking him to any of the early games and he gets in for free anyway...so again just buying it for the sake of it and its good value with the kids stuff. But still no membership ticket.
Not urgent, but will follow it up it doesn't arrive before round 1.
By the way, in regards to the DVD, we got ours in the original package with the stickers etc, not with the tickets. Think we got three between the four of us, so your welcome to one Maxstar22 if you want it seeing you didn't get yours.
