FEV !
Okay don't get too excited....this is just for discussion because it is NEVER EVER going to happen.
First up let me say that I feel sorry for Fev for a number of reasons.
He was a Saints supporter as a kid. I still reckon that its in his blood to the extent that each time he played in a losing Carlton team he seemed more excited than the Saints players on the final siren. I recall on many occasions seeing him running up to Saints players such as Roo and others congratulating them on their victory. Further , I think his current predicament is in part a product of the system that Ross and Parkin and others have alluded to in recent times….. that being young men with too much money and too much time failing to build a sound moral and emotional basis for adult life. Last, he makes me laugh.
As such, consider this…
If you were Ross Lyon would you consider taking on Fev on a week to week basis, the minimum wage……….would he give us something we need?
Try to resist if you want to say the most obvious response...... "NO!" we know its NEVER going to happen

how many chances does he get?
too many already.
Just because he's a saints supporter doesn't mean he's a good bloke.
Besides KD would have him photographed within minutes of signing up, she seems to target a few and the dumbasses arrive shortly afters.

seriously?
I am enjoying that Brisbane lions will have him on their salary cap for the next few years tho. LOL.

true taz, but he can't back it up on the field any more. He's just a more talented better paid version of doc wheildon, pissing up his talent in a blaze of alcohol and boobs.taz wrote:plenty of good players with those shortcomings. When it runs out, he'll be finished.
No sympathy for him.

However with his woes over the last few years, and our own since the Lovett situation first arose, the possibility can't even be considered.
If, as has been suggested, the club is seeking the views of sponsors etc before agreeing to a big wad of cash from Centrebet, it indicates an image sensitivity that would be totally incompatible with having Fav in Saints colours.

Is a wanka. Had enough chances.
Time to find a new career fev.
When you were up you were spectacular.
Any other kid with that skill would have killed to make the most of it.

3rd club lucky .
At least he's not essentially bad unlike a recent recruit. Most people who know him say what a great bloke he is. He seems like a loveable stupid overgrown kid with alcohol problems.
It depends on how he picks himself up from here and what he does over the next 6 months or so. I really hope he gets another chance because there are ugly people like Lov.. and KD and there are stupid people like Fev. I tend to be more sympathetic with stupid people if they have their heart in the right place.
I'd give him another chance IF the price was right

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

The bloke is another Spider Everett.
He is a cancer.
He plays for himself only.
And when things aren't going right he spits the dummy.
Destroys team morale.
Negatives far outweigh positives.
Let him fast-track his life to his ultimate destiny - a pisshead womanising gambler.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

You may well be right Enrico because he is a massive dummy spitter. Maybe that attitude can't be changed.
I reckon we should leave our options open though 'cause he can't play until next year anyway.
If he met the conditions of keeping his nose clean for the next 6 months/gets into shape/ loses weight/gives up the grog, doesn't get arrested etc etc he will earn the right to be judged again.
He's not a nasty person. Silly maybe / great talent and probably wasted.
Let's face it. We won't draft him anyway given all the crap lately

Yes, a wasted talent, I agree.
Picture Fev at his best. Not quite plugger, its true, but still a very skillful powerhouse game breaking forward. Fev at his best is the best FF in the comp.
Obviously you wouldnt want to build a team around him, but wouldn't it be good to have him as a kind of pinch-hitting forward? If he does still have a soft spot for the saints and cleans up his act in the next year, and we don't have to pay him much, I'd take him.
