I don't think the club runs the intraclub for supporters anyway!mcadam05 wrote:would that have ever of happened before a preseason with no intra club game for the supports too watch ???

Really i thought in recent times a week before our first preseason game they do ask for fans too come down and watchIluvHarvey wrote:I don't think the club runs the intraclub for supporters anyway!mcadam05 wrote:would that have ever of happened before a preseason with no intra club game for the supports too watch ???

Re: No intra-club this year.
Problaly to do with the scheduling this year with the 1st NAB game on the 18th and having to have a week cut off the pre season by the Replay and the club might feel it better to get all the pre-season training that they wanted to do done rather than play an intra-club match.saintly wrote:did you find out why?El Wood wrote:Pity.

Maybe they let fans come and watch but don't think it is for the fans benefit.mcadam05 wrote:Really i thought in recent times a week before our first preseason game they do ask for fans too come down and watchIluvHarvey wrote:I don't think the club runs the intraclub for supporters anyway!mcadam05 wrote:would that have ever of happened before a preseason with no intra club game for the supports too watch ???

I'm disappointed but don't see it as a big deal. Admittedly I'm a bit biased because I wouldn't be able to attend anyway. Nonetheless I'm concerned about how we go this season and if the club thinks it's best not to have an intra club then that's fine by me.
No one gives a damn about a praccy match come Grand Final day!

Most other clubs have held theirs at 9.30, 10 2 - most not times that people can go...
whilst it would be a cgood opportunity it's not mandatory and probably up till a few years ago they may never have been open or widely attneded anyway.

They have accommodated for fans for many years. Pull your head out and put the club first to anyone here who wants to whinge about it!

My point is that its another thing that the member is losing like locking the gates at training like having the club magazine go from 6 edtions a year too one preseaon booklet its these little things that make the member feel part of the club. Surly its not that hard too set one night aside in the preseason to let us see the boys in Action

It's not the players I'll miss not having an intra-club this year.
It's walking around the Moorabbin terrace saying hello to people you haven't seen for six months. Footy acquaintances.
The intra club match itself is usually rubbish but it's a good social occasion.
It wouldn't have killed them to put on what is effectively an open training session that they can sell some beers & jumpers at imo.

Though at a guess I'd say all Seaford training sessions will be open (as they can't be otherwise)

Probably how you feel at all games. Just have to wait a respectable time before making your 18,000th post.plugger66 wrote:I think you will find they have had and will continue to have plenty of scratch matches before the first game. it is a pity there is no intra club game though but in saying that I go every year and after 10 minutes I am bored to death which is pretty much like the players feel playing those games.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Sometimes you have a clue but sometimes you dont. In this case you have no idea but I do love the way you seem to know how I watch proper games. The thing that I find funny is you say the NAB cup are only practice games so how do you really think of intra club games. I guess you again have no idea.Bernard Shakey wrote:Probably how you feel at all games. this is a comment i dont get .... people complain when the club isnt run professionally and they dont do everything in their power to gain that edge yet on the same hand get mad when they change the old practices ......Bernard Shakey wrote:They probably think they'll get 40,000 plus members without trying.
They may be wrong.
our NAB cup game is two games in one day surely you can see how they would be treating one of those as a replacement for the intra club match ...
