Re: All time "favourite" Saints 22
im quite a bit younger than a baby boomer but i started at moorabin as a toddler. i really loved pecko and gilbert. i remember when people used to yell out "gilbert time".Bernard Shakey wrote:For some reason I thought you you were a "baby boomer". Obviously not.Con Gorozidis wrote:I thought it might be fun to pick your favourite all-time-saints 22.
And by favourite I mean favourite - not best. You might have loved a player because of his hair, the way they ran or you just thought they had a funny name. Anything. they could have been hopeless but you had a softspot for them for any old reason or maybe no good reason at all. Maybe they did something off-field or because you knew them for primary school. It doesnt matter what you like them for. If you like em , you like em!
Ill have first crack:
J Dunne M Hudghton R Jeffrey
D Grant R Elphinstone S Fisher
N Winmar G Burns G Cunningham
D Kickett S Leowe A Hammil
F Gherig T Lockett B Duperouzel
Rucks
C Ditterich L Hayes T Antrobus
Int:
A Jones, D Greig, R Muir, C Devonport
I put tony antrobus in because of his exceptional mullet, nickname (the angry ant) and general boganness.
loved lazar for his love of the biff.

No dramas - was a toss up between you and Milan Faletic....
I remember you were an excitement (lazy) machine...when we were ordinary you needed to look forward to something in the game!!
