Okay... pretty much as I surmised.

The bit that kills me is how plausible it is. I will be very disappointed if it turns out to be just a baseless rumour. Serves me right for being a sucker.

thankyou to those who sent me the rumour.... can't help but feel that it would have leaked somewhere, especially since it would be pushed to the world doping association. But there have been cases where things have been kept in house till confirmed as it is not worth getting sued for.

im taking it as a grain of salt

someone playing funny buggers and watching the thread pages increase by the day

unless anyone has some close trusted friends/family that are journos that can shed some light/might have heard something.

its just wishful thinking
and prob 5% chance of being true??

A mate told me this a fortnight ago. His contact is from a club,so make of that what you will.

Hopefully it's true and they were doing it last year. Perhaps we will have another Melbourne Storm scenario,then again,they are a rule under there own and it would be swept under the carpet,infact the AFL probably allowed the human trash to do it

Yeah, but eventually someone will notice a big lump under the carpet. :wink:

Gut feeling says it's not true, however if it is true, I'm not sure whether the AFL, or any other orgaisation, would be able to bury it for good. If it's true and people know, and evidence exists, then the AFL would simply have to come clean like the NRL did early last year.

Mind you it would take a long time for them to consider the legalities and the repercussions, and to practice the spin, before making any formal announcements.

Seems unlikely, but you just never know.

And dare I say it, but if they were prepared to do this, what else were they prepared to do... such as break and enter...
