Re: Hinch Article - Group relations
Spinner wrote:Thought this needed its own thread...
Bit hard to work out if it fits under 'wonderful', or the number of threads asking gilbert to be traded, and roo to stand down.
Hinch was pretty set on linking the Stkilda schoolgirl, with the recently charged police officer as they are the same girl...
Via Twitter he has published an article... With a number of inaccuracies that I have alerted him of which he was responded to.
http://www.hinch.net/hinch-says-2010/De ... 12-10.html
@HumanHeadline
Age of concent is 16, unless under supervisor of a teacher, councellor or for example a policeman in this matter... Therefore Saints players were not charged as there is nothing illegal. He responded saying the parter needs to be under 18, which is incorrect.
He also stats that it is Stkilda players involved in group relations. Which is the main reason for this thread. I have asked him on twiiter how does he know this, and the fact I think he might have the wrong football club (well I hope anyways)
Interesting read... Seems to finish off attacking the club and its players though. If what he has stated about 'group relations' thou is correct - This might get worse before it gets better....
.
no you re right all the way through...i think roo has already said that group sexis not part of the saints gameplan....if he has actually said those things to you in an e-mail...then that is actionable...unless of course he is on the money

meher baba wrote:Well, to be fair to Hinch, I must admit that - when I saw the photo - the bed looked made up and also the two players looked like they were posing for the camerman. At least one of them also looks as if he had had more than a few, but then it could also be that he was hungover. The OtherThommo wrote:Part of the HH's post includes this
"The only pic I have seen, shows Riewoldt and a team mate apparently posing for the pic. And the bed seems to have been made up very neatly."
I've only seen the photo via a link in another thread here (the "junkless" picture shown for hotel room comparison purposes).
If the bed has "been made up very neatly" they need to sack the room cleaning staff. It's not made up at all.
Hinch, like many others, hangs much on the photo. He hangs the "posing" on the bed being made up. He then hangs most of the rest of his questions about Roo etc, on Roo "apparently posing". Take away his initial false premise and the rest of his argument falls to pieces.
He's always believed volume and outrage trump proper investigation of facts. He's made more leaps than Evil Kneevil. Once a shyte commentator, always a shyte commentator. He's never let facts get in the way of a headline or rant.
But I guess I have no choice to believe what our captain said about the circumstances under which it was taken.
those rooms usually hve two king or queen sized beds...anyway gilbert swore an affidavit.....end of story ffs....

Use your brains mate. Do you think Dawson just happened to be there with condoms in hand? Roo just happened to be accentuating his penis with his hands? Anyone other than ppl on this site would laugh you out of town for believing such a thing. The OtherThommo wrote:So, you're staggered. I'm not that you are.

TOT. I find your response to the Nick is gay" rumours totally reasonable. They could only be based on a simplistic understanding of the behaviour demonstrated in the photo and the intent of the photographer. Staged or otherwise, Nick was not showing off his body in the sort of pose that one would describe as homoerotic. Either the photo was a surprise candid shot (as Nick claims) or else I would go with something like the interpretation I posted earlier.
FWIW I know someone who is a reasonably close friend of Riewoldt and he tells stories about the informal socializing he has done on yachts, etc. with Nick and Nick's various girlfriends.
Still, if the rumour turned out to be true, it would provide an interesting take on what was going on on that TV show a few years back when Nathan Brown said "gay" and Nick said "die".

Interesting M's
"Use your brains mate. Do you think Dawson just happened to be there with condoms in hand? Roo just happened to be accentuating his penis with his hands? Anyone other than ppl on this site would laugh you out of town for believing such a thing."
1) I do 2) No 3) Do you believe a snapshot at a moment in time portrays all the context you need to decide someone's motivations, intent and actions? 4) I do believe such a thing, more than this site agree, and I'm still here.
Seriously M's, have you never downloaded, been sent or handled a photo that places someone in a position that is ridiculous, impossible or just plain misrepresentative? Never seen the photo of the sumo with his head up the ref's clacker, a person asleep who actually just blinking, somebody with extra limbs. I've seen a squillion of them. A snapshot is just that - you don't see what happens before or after, there's no context, they're in 2D, angles mislead - the freakin' list of potential deceptions is enormous.
And yet you can decide on all of it, based on one snapshot. Good luck to ya. Roo posed, end of story, no doubt. Get a tent, a cloudy ball, a smoke machine, a mid eastern rig and moody CD, hang out your shingle and some can wait for your pronouncements on truth.
Me, I'll just stick to logic. And that the skipper was telling the truth.
And JB's response has grounding in logical probability, too.

Mate you've used half this thread to tell all of us that the skipper was telling us the truth about everything that occurred in that room. If you believe that you're in the public minority. The rest of us that can look at the situation with two eyes think otherwise. The OtherThommo wrote:Interesting M's

For mine, I don't reckon it makes a shred of difference. The ONLY thing that matters is who took the photo and who was in the room at the time the photo was taken. On that point I believe him. He had to say what he did to save face re the circumstances around why the photo was taken as the broader public wouldn't understand. He hasn't lost my respect at all for what happened. Why do we HAVE to believe him as to why it was taken? Who cares?

Let's see. A bloke grabs his manhood in a motel room and another bloke decides it's worth a taking a pic on his phone.
Happens every day of the week in hotel rooms across the globe.
No one is hurt and no one has sex. No one is offended at the time by this act done in private.
And yet some want to analyse it to the same level as the JFK assassination.
Now that 99.99% of the population are satisfied that the "incident" occurred in Florida and that the slapper was not there (or any other female for that matter) what does it matter what happened? Why do we need to analyse the positioning of the pillows, whether the sheets have been turned down etc etc. What does it matter whether Nick was woken in surprise or he simply grabbed his newly shaved package for a momentary laugh?
These guys were on an end of year trip following the most intense and most disappointing season any of them had ever experienced and were letting their hair down in a big party town. No doubt they've all woken up feeling the worse for wear and hijinks have ensued.
Face facts, if anything really terrible had occurred way back then it would have surfaced long ago and not when some cheap whore decides to seek her 15 minutes of fame.
Nick has a donger and he sometimes grabs it. Deal with it.

I think he chose his words very carefully. He didn't just say it wasn't a posed photo...the whole quote was....Moods wrote:Do you guys honestly believe that wasn't a posed photo? I'm staggered. Surely you're not all that gullible. What b/c roo says he didn't pose for the photo, he mustn't have? You are able to pick up everything in the background of the photo, but nobody is actually looking at the foreground
Why does it matter so much if he did pose for it? AS long as Gilbert took the photo and not the school girl then really there is no big deal.
It depends on how you read it. I think he's saying I would never pose for a photo IF I knew it was going to be kept. I don't think he actually said he didn't pose for it. He also said ''This photo was taken on a holiday by a teammate when I got out of bed over 12 months ago … by a teammate who I trust,'' - again implying he didn't pose for it without actually saying that in as many words.‘‘To infer that I would stand there and pose for a photograph naked knowing that it was going to be kept is just absolute garbage and offensive,’’ he said.
My own feeling is that the truth is somewhere in the middle.
And I also agree with you that that part of it doesn't really matter anyway. The big issues are who took the photo and how the girl got hold of them.
It's hard being a Saints fan. If we're not being ridiculed for losing a GF to Collingwood, or missing a golden opportunity to win one in the draw or last year, then we seem to be constantly having to defend our players.
It's Christmas...not in the mood to have other team supporter's get into me about it any more.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Do you know if she's really a girl?Mr Magic wrote:After Miami, Nick spent some time in LA with his then girlfriend Stephanie McIntosh.
Hermaphrodite, I hear.
Well. Prove otherwise.
Being Kim is so easy.

So obviously Nick had only just had the pube area cleared and was seeking an opinion from Zac and Sam.Thinline wrote:Do you know if she's really a girl?Mr Magic wrote:After Miami, Nick spent some time in LA with his then girlfriend Stephanie McIntosh.

Nothing weird about that at all if you ask me

Gee wonder if he felt sorry for those little boys in England who at the tender age of 13 deliberately led a child of tow and half to his death.
I think Hinch is still living at a time when he was teenager and girls we're sweet 16 and probably not letting him get to first base.
