Kciks three out on the full?
This guy needs to spend more time learning how to kick instead of chasing chicks....
If that's a reference to his missed shots in the GF2, many don't seem to remember/realise that while the 3 shots all missed, they didn't miss by that much and it's not like they were "sitters" (like the ones that those who are much more used to shooting for goal missed in the 2009 GF, against Geelong). One of them missed by a Dal Santo's dick (oops, I mean bees dick) and I think at least one of the other two only missed by a bit more. Maybe a Roo's dick. And they were good kicks (ie. spun well, good contact, etc), so it's not like he shanked them, or missed them by miles. And at least he got a kick.
He certainly needs to improve his kicking and I'm sure he'd be working hard on it, but we may also be expecting too much, considering he only took up the game in his mid/late teens. You hear regularly that if someone doesn't have a really good kicking technique, by the time they're 18 or so, that it's apparently very difficult to get them to improve it significantly from there, so the chance that Gilbo will suddenly do so isn't necessarily great. When he hits his kicks well, his stab passing is about as good as it gets, but he obviously needs to improve his consistency, which he hopefully will with more footy. It might also help if others got off his back about it, as it could be mental as much as anything and everyone constantly going on about it may not be helping, believe it or not.
And he certainly doesn't come across as someone who's just running around being a "playboy". He seems like a pretty quiet and shy guy and unless I'm greatly mistaken, he's allowed to have a social life/life outside footy. I know some on here think there's no such thing as a world, or life outside of the ST K FC, but there is and he's allowed to be a part of it. He made a big blue and I'm pretty sure he'll learn from it and not do it again.
But as the saying goes, "let he who has not f***ed up (sinned) cast the first stone". Who's going to do it?
YOU GET WHAT YOU SETTLE FOR.
