Milan is now king of the castle on his own Facebook fan pageStillwaiting wrote:this suggests to me that we won't see Milan here again, that would be dissapoiningMr Magic wrote:According to the Club, each player can have up to 4 sponsors.saint66au wrote:Just something to bear in mind....
The Facebook fan page "Saints Footy" (run in his ..umm..own unique style by ex-SS mod Milan Faletic) has just announced they are going to sponsor a player. Theyve apparently already been allocated a player but hes not announcing who it is til a BBQ they are having on Sunday. I have very good reason to believe though that its Arryn Sippos
Not sure if that takes him out of our calculations?
eg last season we sponsored Nick Heyne as did the Saints BigFooty group.
Without wanting to drag Facebook squabbles over here, if he applied any of the draconian rules he runs his own site by over here, there'd be a riot
The regulars on his page are a far less questioning group than here I assure you
Also, his statement that Arryn will wear No 2 may have nothing to do with any leak from the Club. more the jumper number Arryn's dad has as his Facebook pic.

Having just had a look at the facebook page I want to compliment Milan on the way he's set up their sponsorship group.saint66au wrote:Milan is now king of the castle on his own Facebook fan pageStillwaiting wrote:this suggests to me that we won't see Milan here again, that would be dissapoiningMr Magic wrote:According to the Club, each player can have up to 4 sponsors.saint66au wrote:Just something to bear in mind....

Yes it's very similar to ours but he's managed (probably through the enhanced capabilities of facebook?) to make it simple to understand for his members.
And like us, I'm sure they're all excited about being part of a 'sponsorship group' that ultimately puts dollars into the Club's coffers.
Agree MM, so far so good for his Group...and you are dead right, its putting bucks in the Clubs coffers so thats always a good thingMr Magic wrote:Having just had a look at the facebook page I want to compliment Milan on the way he's set up their sponsorship group.saint66au wrote:Milan is now king of the castle on his own Facebook fan pageStillwaiting wrote:this suggests to me that we won't see Milan here again, that would be dissapoiningMr Magic wrote:According to the Club, each player can have up to 4 sponsors.saint66au wrote:Just something to bear in mind....

It's other aspects of his site that I have issues with, but thats not for a discussion here as has nothing to do with sponsorship. Feel free to PM me though if youre curious

Whilsst the forum was 'down' I took the liberty of asking teh Club which players had as yet not attratced any sponsors.
This is the list as of yesterday:-
Each 'Development Group' player needs 96 shares.
Currently we have pledges for 185 shares
My own preference would be to take 'development group' players only as we get 'more bang for our buck' - we get the same 'prizes' for less money.
I would also prefer to take players who have no other sponsors.
(There seems something to me 'wrong' with some players having 4 sponsosrs and others having none)
So we currently have enough pledges to almost cover 2 players from the 'development group'.
SHould we take Crocker and Ledger as our first 2 players - they are the highest ranked of those who haven't already received a sponsor.
Or alternatively we can take Siposs and Walsh (the 2 highest ranked but who have other sponsors already) as our initial 2?
This is the list as of yesterday:-
Each 'Core Group' player needs 130 sharesCore
- Ryan Gamble
- Adam Schneider
- Brett Peake
Development
- Paul Cahill
- Daniel Archer
- Sam Crocker
- Tom Ledger
- Warwick Andreoli
- Tom Curren
- Jackson Ferguson
- Will Johnson

Just remember to add your $15 cut to the total.Mr Magic wrote:Whilsst the forum was 'down' I took the liberty of asking teh Club which players had as yet not attratced any sponsors.

I too like the idea of getting players who have no sponsor.
Crocker, Ledger look good. Jackson Ferguson would be my other vote.

Good support for a kid who's moved down from Sydney to take a chance as a rookie and could probably use a bit of encouragement.
And unlike a lot of our new kids, has a bit of size about him

Well since we lost the banner I think this could be an opportunity to get a new one up. The only thing missing is the players that we are going to sponsor. Maybe if we can confirm 4 or 5 then I will get something up.

That's too spooky and SOS is already taken.Dr Spaceman wrote:Hopefully Sam Fisher will eventually have a son.....Bernard Shakey wrote:Put me down for 2 shares and I'd like Paul Cahill and Sam Crocker (you can never have too many Sams).
And about 17 years later we'll have......
