Thanks for the pics Pwoit.

The place looks soul-less, depressing and as though it's in an Industial area.
-The complete opposite to the Junction Oval.

Not alot we can do about it now, what's done is done

The pictures show one angle. On one side of the oval is a Primary School. On the other side is a nuture reserve and on the third side is residential housing and a bowls club.

Can any of the older supporters remember the Saints Sports shop that the club owned and operated back in the seventies. Barry Lawrence ran it for the club. It was less than a kilometre from the new training ground. Back then the club new what a strong St Kilda area this was.

Can people forget about the Junction! Cricket Victoria have been the main inhabitant of the JC for a number of years now & will be building their new elite training facility there. Hence why Melbourne didn't have the opportunity to build their elite base there... & why they were kicked off the JC for most of the summer, forcing them to Cranbourne.

Everyone who is disappointed with the move to Seaford forgets how impossible it is to deal with a local council that doesn't want you there and will put as many obstacles in your way so they it finally gets too hard.

City of Kingston, Port Phillip and numerous others are full of anti-football bird brains that will never do an AFL club a favour let alone be welcoming.

Outer suburban councils like Frankston, Casey & Hume want to rejuventate or build their locales so they will pump money into a popular sport like AFL, handing them space, money & facilities to build elite training centres.

I'd say that some of the outer suburban councils might be sick of being called outer suburbs.

Frankston & Dandenong should probably be considered cities in their own right like Geelong, but they both got caught in the urban sprawl from Melbourne in the last 20-30 yrs.

Casey seems to not want to be defined as a suburb of Melbourne which actually makes their alignment with Melbourne quite puzzling.

Just one question to the whingers. Who goes to training and how often did they go this season? It seems to me that the only people who should even slightly care where training is are the players and I doubt anyone is a player on this forum.

The new facility is opposite Belvadere Reserve right next to the nature reserve. If you click onto the map link you can see how close the new Freeway is to the facility.

Can any of the older people remenber the Sports Shop that was owned and opereated by the club back in the seventies. It was managed by Barry Lawrence. This shop was about a kilometre from the new facility. Even back then the club knew what a strong ST Kilda area this was.

I like the design.

You have to position yourself in a growth corridor.

If we aim to get to 45,000 members we are in the right place.

If the players are living in Brighton/Hampton/Sandi whats the issue with getting to Seaford?

YOU, myself and few others were asked/TOLD to NOT respond to each other by the sites originator many years ago!

YOU are the only one who has broken a promise that was made by all of us to ignore each other!

Are you incapable of respecting that PM that was sent from the sites originator?

Or did you think that request had a use by date?

We all agreed to ignore each other and to not respond to each others posts!

YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS PISSED ON ALL OF THAT!

Now please allow me to ignore you and can I respectfully ask you to do the same!

Is it because you're a cop and you think you're somehow above the rules?

Cheers
What I typed is not "nonsense" but FACT...

What you typed IS nonsense.

There was NO such rule, but an agreement to keep matters civil.

I have rarely responded to your posts in the last 18 odd months..FACT

You DID bitch and complained to me that your precious avatar was gone when Moose decided to leave FACT

You DID attempt to confront our senior coach prior to a match, but got the wrong coaches box FACT.

You DID post the same post on the Carlton forum, after it was deleted on at least four occasions on saintsational

Please enlighten us all just what was nonsense in my original post :?:

Also please refrain from stating stating my occupation in your comments, as I feel that is personal in trying to get to you point. (that does not really exist)

DON'T BOTHER TALKING TO ME ABOUT RESPECT!!!

YOU HAVE LITTLE OR NONE!!!

Again, why bother with your bitching when we are moving anyway???

Each and ever post about the Club's new location you just come on and type the same old....

Did you stop and think most have read that???

Why repeat yourself time and time and time again

You did promise that you would refrain from repetitive posts...

I GATHER YOU JUST "PISSED" ALL OVER THAT!!!

Yeah, great come back...

You have personalised this post and all I have stated are FACTS and NOT "nonsense"

CLUE!!

Give up on the constant posts about the Saints move and the constant RANT that the current administration should be sacked...

And I will stop with replying to those "constant rants" (yet it's been a couple of posts in 18 or so months)

Most of know your agenda and that is the Club cannot do anything right unless you have some sort of control....

That ain't going to happen if I have my say!!!!

So just keep your "agenda" pushing to a forum that you can start up yourself

Frankly, I am surprised you bother continuing your membership with the Saints, all you do is bitch and complain...

PUT A SOCK IN IT FFS!

MANY ARE JUST SICK AND TIRED WITH YOU CONSTANT "RANTS"

Again, please enlighten me on just what was "nonsense" that I have typed in this thread :?: :?:

Flower you with personalising a thread, you have done it once before and you went overboard IMO in the past.

Oh, dear me, I am sorry that your current avatar has the channel 7 logo...

I really don't know why I bothered....

You should have been a women, at least they have a legitimate excuse during their cycle...

You have no such excuse IMO

Well if the mossies from the swamp don't give them dengue fever, the emissions from the freeway will give them emphysema. Great place for an elite training facility.

Yep, it's surrounded by residential dwellings and by all accounts the occupants are dropping like flies.

Fair dinkum, the whole area looks like a movie set from Outbreak

No, it's surrounded by a swamp, two freeways (with factories on the other side, a bowling club and a school. Oh, and there are some houses to the south west.
