Thanks for the explanations.thirty-seven!? wrote:He has an AFL ready body, but the issue is his height (175cm). Similar concerns for Prestia as they have for Darling - did he just stand out in juniors as he was just so much stronger than everyone else? And now at AFL level will he be shown up, playing against players just as strong as him?Mr Magic wrote:My prediction is that whomever we pick up with each of pur picks will be touted on here as a future champion.
I'm still waiting to hear why Prestia, if he drops to us at pick 24 is a 'ready to play AFL' player and yet no other club bothered to take a 'ready to play AFL' player in the frst 23 picks.
Are all those in front of him 'ready to play AFL' next season also?
I genuinely want to know what's so special about this kid that some on here think he'll drop to pick 24 and yet clearly is ready to play AFL straight away?
I would have thought that most Clubs on recognizing a young talent that was 'ready to play AFL' would snaffle him well before our pick?
Personally I like the looks of him - he is quick and has a great boot. A really strong first 30 players or so is what could make him slide. Clubs like their chosen picks for certain reasons, and won't always pounce on a 'slider' just because he is a bargain. I doubt Prestia will make it to us, but I certainly hope he does!
Whom will we pick in 2morrows draft?

There were a lot of early predictions for Prestia to go 15-25 but much of the talk from the media is that he'll fall 8-15. I think we have little chance.Mr Magic wrote:Thanks for the explanations.thirty-seven!? wrote:He has an AFL ready body, but the issue is his height (175cm). I don't think clubs are that shortsighted to selected players based on their ability to be a 'ready made AFL player'. Whilst Prestia may well be this, clubs will have a longer term outlook.
