Thanks KFT23.

New question ...
Topic - Come from behind losses.

Without reviving the "Do I stay or do I go" GF Replay debate,
if you are a "Goer" then you can "safely" leave at 3/4 time if we are behind against three clubs.
Because there are three clubs whom StKilda has NEVER EVER beaten when we were behind at 3/4 time.

Who are they?

Don't know, but I would think it would have to be interstate teams, given that we've been playing the others for long enough for the law of averages to kick in.
I'm probably very wrong.

Very close.
Port Adelaide is wrong
But Adelaide is right.
The other two are a bit "technical" but you are right with University.
The third is even more of a technicality - Brisbane Bears (pre-Lions).

The full details are ...

1) The defunct University
We played them 14 times.
5 times we were behind at 3/4 time for 5 losses.
9 times we were in front for 8W 1L

2) Brisbane Bears
Most statisticians merge their history with Brisbane Lions and keep Fitzroy separate.
But some also keep the Bears separate.
We played them 15 times.
5 times we were behind at 3/4 time for 5 losses.
10 times we were in front for 9W 1L

3) Adelaide
We have played them 32 times.
16 times we have been behind at 3/4 time for 16 losses.
16 times we were in front for 14W 1D 1L

So it is little wonder we just chipped it around in Q4 R22 as the stats show we couldn't have won!

MM - It should be your go as you sort of came close.

But OK I'll jump in with another.
I love this thread.
Bringing it back helps to distract from the pain of the last three weeks.

Topic - An untried position
No - not the Kama Sutra.

Of the current 16 clubs, every club has spent time in all 16 positions on the ladder (ie 1st through to 16th) except for ONE club at ONE position.
Which club?
Which position?

Correct #1GILL

Freo has never been top.
Though in R1 this year Hawthorn denied them top spot by only 1.5%
Then we kept them at bay on percentage in Rounds 2 and 3.

Of our current list, which player has the best win-loss percentage ratio? And what is their percentage?

i.e- Joel Selwood 84% wins in total games played.

Patterson played in 5 for 4 wins = 80%

# 'Marie' was 19 when painted by Jules-Joseph Lefebvre

The first letter of each clue is V W M M.

So I'm going to say, Mick Malthouse drove a Beetle when he was playing for the Saints.

Simon O'Donnell's family had something to do with exploration in SA, and Wollomai, the winner of the first Melbourne Cup raced on a Tuesday. They also were the owners of Chloe and she was exhibited at the MIE.

Victorian Intercolonial Exhibition was held in Melbourne - 1875
Wollomai wins the Melbourne Cup - 1875
Ernest Giles and party leave South Australia for an overland expedition to Perth, they arrive on November 10 - 1875
'Marie' was 19 when painted by Jules-Joseph Lefebvre in - 1875

Now I'm grasping at straws...
1875 was the year Charles Kingsley died,
He was a novelist, historian and whatever,
He wrote a book/play known as,
THE SAINTS TRAGEDY

That would be me.

Here's a question about Streaks

No, not Ray Stevens - rather consecutive AFL/VFL wins against the same opponent.

Up to this season we had a beautiful run of 12 consecutive wins going against Carlscum.
Unfortunately that was where it ended.
Whilst that is our best streak ever against Carlton they have a better streak against us.
They won 15 in a row from 1929 to 1936.

My question is ...
How many clubs do we have a better streak against than they do against us?
And name them.

(So obviously Carlton isn't one).
