i have nothing against frankston or seaford. tihs isnt a snobbish thing. but this thing isnt even near frankston or seaford. its way out the back on eastlink.
doing secret/closed sections will cease to be an issue i guess. cos noone will be going out there to spy.
in any workplace part of the reason companies are based in good locales is to be an "employer of choice" to attract the best candidates.

All we would need after that is Warwick Capper as our posing coach.
Bugger winning games, as long as we look good in speedos.
it's all about exclusivity over substance at any rate.
don't worry that it's just a silly little game where guys chase an inflatable leather thing about the size of pinapple around and attempt to kick it in-between aluminium uprights when there are fashion parades to attend.

Why is the 'area' such an issue, don't they drive into the carpark, train in the facilities, eat at the facilities, workout in the facilities, get in the car and drive back home again?
I think once they are there, they will quickly get over it....

It is not out the back on Eastlink, it is on the currently being built Peninsula Link

Except you probably wouldn't make it to the car park in the first place

its not even seaford.
It was somewhere by the city, near a river, by a Grub,
That they formed an institution called The Collingwood Football Club.
They were a throng of foolish people, full of misplaced pride,
And objectively not educated, subject to the tide.
Their style of playing footy was irregular and rash,
They had mighty little science, yet something they called cash.
They drove their cars on weekends, that carried loads of long,
With guernsy not of any change, their names and tales were long.
It was somewhere down the roadway, cast from City's smoke and steam,
That the football club existed, called ‘The Saints of Self Esteem’.
Their new home now in Seaford, with promised on the way,
A future looking special, a commitment cast in clay.
As a social motivation 'twas a marvellous success.
The Saints members were distinguished by intelligence and dress.
They had scarlet coloured vehicles, that were nice, and smooth, and sleek,
Their cultivated owners drive them seven days a week.
The Saints started up the roadway in pursuit of former glory,
The goal to show the Magpies how they ought to write the story.
They took their valet with them, just to give the balls a rub,
And started operation on The Collingwood Football Club.
Now my readers can imagine how the contest ebbed and flowed,
And when Collingwood got going, it was time to flood the load.
The game was so terrific that when half the time was gone,
A Magpie wing was broken, for merely looking on.
For they jostled one another ‘til the plain was strewn with dread,
And the score was kept so even that they neither got ahead.
St Kilda Captain Riewoldt, now in his world of own,
Was the last surviving player as the final siren droned.
Then the Collingwood Coach Malthouse, raised up slowly from the sound,
His wound’s were merely spirit, yet he fiercely gazed around.
There was no-one left to tell him, his team were in a trance,
That St Kilda Captain Riewoldt was dancing Premiership dance.
By the dirty Yarra River, where the breezes shake the grass,
Exist a row of dusty gravestones that filthy dare not pass.
For they bare the real inscription saying "Strange man, drink a beer,
For the Collingwood reputation clearly lives right hereâ€

Yes but Peninsula link goes right across the back of the new facility, so it is right on Peninsula link.
As I have no idea about Peninsula links, etc, and as I understand the majority of players live around the Brighton bayside area and surrounds, how long would it take to drive to Belvedere Oval from where a large number of players are currently living ?

Not long at all. The secondary question would be;
How many & how often do fans attend training in these times of "CLOSED" training sessions ? !!
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Yep, its quite irrelevant in these days of closed training. To be honest, I dont understand what all the fuss is about being based at Seaford.
If its close to motorways back into town, etc, whats the problem.
Does Seaford have a crook name these days ? I lived not far from Seaford, but admittedly left there in the mid 70s for QLD, so have no contact with the area whatsoever any more.

what rubbish
It is common knowledge that at the end of the 2009 season SOS wanted to leave for a football job that is less stressful and time consuming. Because of his loyality to Lyon he stayed on another year. He has gone on to a development role in sydney. How could a future training facility effect him unless he came back to the club in a future role. Strange logic!
How about we work with facts, not one player or staff member is on the record on being against the move. It will be used as a training and admin facility. There will be mostly closed training so parking will not be effected and they could always use moorabin or other areas for practice matches or open training.
I'm still bloody bleeding about things but the wrist cutting around here is disgusting!
FQF

In richo I trust

So instead of driving to seaford he now travels to Sydney?

Then SOS will be in for a shock when he surveys the delights of Greater Western Sydney then Con!

rubbish? u pick up on one tiny point (sos) and then try to imply my whole argument was wrong. yes. lets work with facts. please dispute the other players arrangements as i mentioned above. and as if anyone is going to publicly speak against it. ask them privately.
Given archie frasers intimate knowledge of Scotland, I hardly think he was the best qualified person to be making decisions about localities in foreign Melbourne. . For the record he now lives in the Gold Coast. Theres a f*cking fact for you.
