I think we should be restricting new users on this forum. Who approved that name to be a member.... no guesses who they barrack for. They will just lie there like the other snake in the grass waiting for a reason to break cover and troll the forum.
Entrance should be by recommendation by an established poster only.

Glad it's open to the public, but agree that people with inflamatory names (eg collingwoodpremiers) shouldn't be accepted.

Given how difficult I found getting my account activated here (tried 2 or 3 different times over the past 2 years without luck. Eventually emailed some admins and something was finally done) I'm surprised usernames like this slip through.

Supporters have membership bar codes.
Joining based on a bar code may restrict the filth.

That joined a couple of days ago.
I am sure HSV will be keeping an eye on them, but one does wonder why they were accepted in the first place.
So far no posts for either of them

but like saying they need to be recommneded that would be too restrictive as many are just unable to become members... and then we would not be able to spread the word...

I've been on here a couple of years now I think, but I found SS by chance. I wouldn't have been able to join if I had have needed to know someone and be recommended. Maybe no big loss to the forum, but I'd be lost without SS now!
As for membership bar codes, as well as being prohibitive to some who can't be club members for any reason- there is no way I would have given my bar code when I first joined and didn't know much about the site or anything about anyone on here.
I don't feel very welcoming to newcomers with these sorts of usernames, but HSVKing's explanation of them not being able to re-register with the same e-mail makes sense.
