Have softened my stance on this overnight.

But only on the basis we get him for absolutely diddly squat a la Pies and Ball.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

About 29. Biggest problem with him are his shoulders. You can fix his attitude maybe not his shoulders

Biggest problem is ABOVE his shoulders - you would have more chance of a shoulder transplant than an attitude transplant !!!

First instinct is a big NO. However, if he comes cheaply enough and can provide a bit of magic, then could be worth a shot. Would need to be keen to play for us though.

Give him a go, I didn't see many forwards troubling the scoreboard on GF day..just may need to take a risk.

Am not a fan. Too inconsistent. Does not work hard enough (a requirement of saints footy). However could add a bit of X and his cons are largely attitudinal. A kick up the backside could make him a better player.

Will improve in a new environment I feel. A few too many off field issues here in Adelaide for him at the moment.

Not sure if he's worth the punt, but if we could pick him up for next to nothing (which is unlikely) you'd have to consider it.

would prefer Walker...now Doggies have dropped out, we should make room in the cap for this young man running off the HBF, and freeing Goddard to go fwd.

Motlop has an x factor around goal. He would at least make us look less dour and predictable.

We need to at least look like we create a bit of stress for the opposition defenders.

yep, nothing wrong with a bit of flair and an attacking mindset. the defensive side can be taught ... not so sure about the creative side.

Just a bit of an imaginary scenario; Riewoldt running back hard into the square, Motlop spreading out wide while big Kosi runs hard straight up the centre 40 meters out from goal. Take the double teaming option -one of the secondary forwards marks easily, let any of the 3 free - they score.

Motlop can kick ones he shouldn't and makes the easy ones look hard Leowe style) it would increase the pressure to defend and make us a fairly scary forward line.

We have been talking of a 3rd medium sized forward for years.
