seven days later and it hasn't got much better
The pain continues to burn at "what might have been" seven days ago.
I'm intending to get down to the club this week to renew my membership for 2011 as some form of pain relief!
Hopefully we will prevail in September '11, but I just want to feel a part of a NEW season again at this moment in time!
OOPS! just been informed that its OCTOBER we need to prevail in!

When Harvey played his first game in 1988, I was a 12yo wearing short pants and struggling with my readin', writin' and 'rithmetic in grade eight. Now, I'm a father of three and a retired AFL player. And he's still going. Amazing! - Michael Voss

I found myself looking at my watch all afternoon.
Figured at about 2:50 was when Roo made the greatest blunder in AFL/VFL GF history.
As the clocked ticked on between 3 and 3:40 I visualised all those misses by Gilbert and co and then the Schneider miss leaving us in deep deep trouble at 1/2 time.
Then it must have been just before 4pm that Schneider stuffed up yet another chance and with 1.9 on the scoreboard the Pies banged on a few goals to end the dream.
After that I don't really remember much - just a vague memory of a couple of junktime goals to Milne.
Then that sad 5pm slow walk to Richmond station in silence with head bowed along with thousands of others.
Just like the year before.

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.
