Completed Trades
How about a temporary Sticky on completed trades! I would'nt know how to do it, but it would be a good idea for the next week or so.
Trade 1. Andrejs Everitt from Western Bulldogs to Sydney.
Pat Vezspremi and 4th Round Pick (73) from Sydney to Western Bulldogs.
Trade 2. Richard Tambling from Richmond to Adelaide for lst Round Compensation Pick (received from GC for Bock) and 3rd Round Draft Pick

Not possible. Only ONE uncontracted player per club. GC have already signed Rischatelli from Bris !!borderbarry wrote:No. Brennan was taken as G.C's 7th Uncontracted Player, with Josh Fraser being the 8th. Although the Brennan deal did apparently include the exchange of Draft picks.
Still only two trades done.
NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

A bit of confusion about this one. Apparently GC are allowed a second uncontracted player IF the other club agrees to it. Therefore Brisbane traded their Pick 10 for GC's Pick 5 as just a normal trade and will also get the normal uncontracted compensation from the AFL. (Most likely Band 2 or 3)Solar wrote:correct young man. This is a tradeEastern wrote:Not possible. Only ONE uncontracted player per club. A bit of exploiting the system here from both them.
Also Celger and Krakouer to the Pies for Pick 25, and the Pies will send their compensation (from Josh Fraser) to the Lions (Most likely Band 4 or 5).
So to sum up:
Gold Coast Lose: Pick 5, Cegler, Krakouer.
Gain: Pick 10, Brenan, Fraser, Pick 25
Pies Lose: Fraser, Pick 25, Compensation from Fraser
Gain: Krakouer, Cegler
Lions Lose: Brenan, Pick 10
Gain: Pick 5, Brenan compensation, Fraser compensation
**** NOT OFFICIAL/CONFIRMED
ok fair enough, kind of like the veal trade a few years ago? We will trade you something for the right to take a second uncontracted player. Not sure how this really works as if a club was fine for them to leave they would be happy to trade them?Saintersss wrote:A bit of confusion about this one. Anyway seems krakouer is the most expensive draftee in the history of the sport IMO.

Not 100% confirmed yet, but if it happens, yes its very similar to the veal trade that occured.Solar wrote: ok fair enough, kind of like the veal trade a few years ago? Well Brenan was leaving Brisbane no matter what, but the Lions wanted a bit more than the compensation they were going to recieve.

Yep, they've traded very well. They're also still trying to land Sherman which would be yet another handy acquisition.Con Gorozidis wrote:so tell me again why we didnt go for him?Dr Spaceman wrote:Nathan Djerrkura to Western Bulldogs for pick 57 (3rd round)

dogs are going to be dangerous next year.
Why is that? At the moment they are behind IMO. Lost Harbrow and Everitt and picked up 2 seconds players.Con Gorozidis wrote:so tell me again why we didnt go for him?Dr Spaceman wrote:Nathan Djerrkura to Western Bulldogs for pick 57 (3rd round)

Well Con, I don't know whether the Saints actually made a play for ND although I note a few posters wanted him.Con Gorozidis wrote:so tell me again why we didnt go for him?Dr Spaceman wrote:Nathan Djerrkura to Western Bulldogs for pick 57 (3rd round)

The reality is the Dogs used their third round (57) for him.
Our third round pick would have been after that and of no interest to the Cats.
We would have had to use out 2nd round pick and I think most posters would have baulked at that.

The dogs ahve been able to trade because they had the luxury of two pretty handy father-son picks.Bardon Saint wrote:Yep, they've traded very well. They've been pretty aggresive but I'm not convinced they've picked up much. Sherman can be damaging but goes missing far too often. And Djerrkura's played something like four games in four years. I'd rather invest more game time into Jack Steven and Nick Heyne.

Josh Hill looked ahead of Djerrkura and Everitt looked like he would become a key player in the future. harbrow was a big loss and Sherman would cover his spot.
Vespremi looks like he might get a wake up call from a trade but still didn't set the world on fire at Sydney.
The best chance they have is Ayce Cordy getting his body right and Libratore and Wallis coming on early. TLast two are mids and the dogs seem to have plenty of those.
