Miles will play almost every game next season. (IMO)
I wasn't a believer, but his two games this year showed tons of poise, courage and pace.
Not so confident about any of the others.
I would love to see Stanley and Steven succeed. I'm hoping rather than believing.
Tommy Walsh, I am fantasising about!
Fingers crossed with these guys, and Lynch, Smith, Simkin, Winmar, Gaertner, etc.

I don't know why everyone has jumped off Jones all of a sudden.borderbarry wrote:Dempster, Blake, McQualter, Peake, Jones. They are the players that I would be trying t0 improve on. If we keep playing all of them we will never improve.
He would be one of the first players picked week in week out.
A vital cog in our team.

I agree. And I think the rumour he was carrying a serious injury were true.FQF wrote:I don't know why everyone has jumped off Jones all of a sudden.borderbarry wrote:Dempster, Blake, McQualter, Peake, Jones. He was in pain on Saturday. I could see it in his face even in the warm up.

Now there is a team that has losing Grand Finals down to an art form...mad saint guy wrote:Goddard, Hayes, Gwilt, Fisher, Dawson, Blake hold their heads high. The rest learn how to perform when it matters.
A cruel list manager would get rid of Eddy, Peake, Koschitzke, McQualter and Jones. They gave absolutely nothing in the grand finals and simply looked way out of their depth. Battlers 'playing a role' might work in the home and away season, but we've seen that some level of actual talent and ability is required to be of any use when it counts.
Bakes is done, I think. We're better off giving a Geary/Smith game time.
Montagna and Riewoldt are superb players who have given us nothing in three grand finals; they need to lift their game.
2011 (hopefully a couple of decent players can be recruited over the off-season as well)
B: Gwilt, Dawson, Dempster
HB: Gram, Blake, Fisher
C: Jones, Hayes, Dal Santo
HF: Schneider, Riewoldt, Gilbert
F: Milne, Koschitzke, Steven
Foll: Gardiner, Goddard, Montagna
Int: Ray, McEvoy, Armitage, Smith/Geary/Peake/Walsh/Lynch
I hope next years 22 to 26 regulars are a mixture of that lot AND others
How many defenders will The Saints pick in the 2024 draft ?
I'd reckon Miles will be the newest regular recruit to our team. He has exactly what we need in poise and SPEED off half back.bobmurray wrote:Now there is a team that has losing Grand Finals down to an art form...mad saint guy wrote:Goddard, Hayes, Gwilt, Fisher, Dawson, Blake hold their heads high. Geary will reclaim his regular H&A spot.
And I'm hope for a revelation from one of Walsh Lynch or Stanley to add something to our one-man forward line.

What does everyone think of Tambling? Seemed like he was really coming along in 2009 but hardly sighted in 2010.
