The Lions have a reasonably solid defence. They need young midfielders and small forwards.SainterK wrote:Watched a bit of the Brions this year, I like him...baby face, but looks like he has a lot of promise.
Saying we may have to give up a fringe player though, who?
Not certain of the contractual status of the following but Eddy? Geary? Mini?

Honestly, I can't say I have watched him play much.
Stats do not look that impressive though.
What are his footskills like??????
If he is quick...perhaps could be an upgrade to Mini who suffers from lack of pace.
But then again we already have Steven??????

Hope we aren't taking him just because of the club connection.
Doubt it would happen in 2010 with the professionalism of Ross and his team but it's happened before so you never know.

Hard nut but woeful skill from what I've seen. Horrendous.FQF wrote:Where are you getting that. By all reports, he is a skillful player.ThomasR wrote:I think we have more than enough players with horrible kicking skills as it is...
Just this season gone past I remember watching him thinking, "can't believe they gave him Voss' number"

Can we at least check out that he does not have a terminal injury first and that his dad isn't about to dessert the ship.FortiusQuoFidelius wrote:Fergus Watts???dcstkfc wrote:Hope we aren't taking him just because of the club connection.

Well that thread certainly does not inspire much confidence.....SainterK wrote:http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=293207

As a Lions supporter and watched Sheldon in most games he has played he needs improvement in many areas to be a starting 22 player. He normally played as a half bank flanker or off the interchange bench. His best asset would be his speed but he lacks in decision making and has poor kicking skills. The thread on Big Footy sums him up pretty much.

Forgetting about age, who would you choose Sheldon or Johnstone?
I live in Brisbane and see a fair bit of the Lions on TV and home games... I know both their 09's were better than 10's
I think both could be on the delist table on all reports, but you are losing so many players, maybe you dont need to delist, a possible PSD for these or mature rookie perhaps and not trade for them may be the best bet
