Well done Lenny!!!
Very happy for him. Is this his second B & F?
I hope they post up the interviews on the website as I missed them as I got caught up in other things at home.

BJ said he loved them all very much. Something about feeling sick in the guts for years to come, if they don't win the ultimate, they just can't be done yet....it's their chance for eternal happiness. Even if we don't achieve it....we're gonna die tryingfingers wrote:Both saidTeflon wrote:any summary of BJ/Lenny speech for those who cant access?
cheers
We're not done yet.
We will achieve the ulitmate success and if we don't you know we will die trying.
Lenny said Ross was the best coach in the AFL

It was a better night than I expected.
The MC was pretty lame - Sandy Roberts at the HoF was heaps better.
Very professional production.
Compared to some of those B&Fs at the Moorabbin SC back in the 80s
In those days, and it is pretty hard to remember exactly, they just announced the winners and everyone drank and drank and drank.
No round by round count.
Only disappointing thing was the pre-recorded highlights for each round was totally out of synch with the voice over.
Also for some rounds (our losses) it only showed votes for about 8 players.
Does that mean the rest got nothing?

The rest of Australia can wander mask-free, socialise, eat out, no curfews, no zoning, no police rings of steel, no illogical inconsistent rules.

The votes out of 10 reflect how well each player played in terms of their role.jonesy wrote:Onya Lendog..one of the clubs all time greats!
Some peculiar voting going in there by the way. If BJ was our equal 3rd best in GF2 then I'll eat my hat......so far our best it was a joke
Hence Zac, Gwilt, Blake etc. whilst obviously not starring, simply executed their role as the coaching staff had requested.
Hence they get high votes.
It is NOT about who had the most kicks.
It's all about the structure.

Congratualtions to all winners!
One sobering thought though. Is it not a little disturbing that "most promising player" is someone whose just finished his 7th year at the Club?? Should not ideally a 1st, 2nd or 3rd year player be getting this?
Reminds me of the same award in 2008(?) when it was won by Raph Clarke pretty much on the back of a good finals series. He'd been dropped twice during the season as I recall

Perhaps this is why we got blown away then if they didn't value the role of BJ's game.....Enrico_Misso wrote:The votes out of 10 reflect how well each player played in terms of their role.jonesy wrote:Onya Lendog..one of the clubs all time greats!
