If it means we'll have to wait another 12 years to win that flag like Geelong, then I'll take it. At least I know I'll get to see one

I see no reason why we won't be in the mix next year. This teams run isn't over yet.

Maybe.

I'd rather get to the big dance than not. As hard as it is to take when you lose.

We had years of not even getting close to the finals...not even a sniff.

We've just got to keep fronting up.

I guess you've got to be in it to win it.
But gee the pain of losing is too much to bear.

not without a fair bit of tinkering. we need to address SCOREBOARD PRESSURE once and for all and PACE.

i think kosi has played his last game as a forward and from now on he either rucks or doesn't play. gilbert develops into a forward.

Jack Steven, Geary, Stanley ... anyone who can run ... are looking good things.

we defend as well as is humanly possible, but we cannot put a score on the board like the collingwoods of the world.

I was fearing the same thing if we lost this year.
Just wondering, Malcolm Blight was obsessed with offence back then because those Geelong sides could just kick big scores and simply outscore the majority of their opposition.
Maybe Ross is a little defence obsessed, we have the best defence, but we had by far the worse forward line in the top half of the ladder this season.
We need to kick more goals so we can apply scoreboard pressure onto teams.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
