Luke Ball and Max Hudghton - Pivotal in our destruction

Post: # 1007229Post ralphsmith »

Two players who bled and bled and bled for the saints.

Both at the pies this year.

Premiership.

I wonder how Max is feeling? Remember how passionate Hudghton was for the saints? Remember that game in the early 00s when we were terrible and Max walked off the ground after a loss crying?

Yep too true.

Max was...has taught his two young backs well.

Ball was irrelevant when it was a close game last week.

I'm afraid you are wrong there. He was apart of a Premiership team and had some very decent possessions.

Luke Ball left for more money and perceived extra opportunities but at the end of the day MORE MONEY.

He is not a saints player he walked out and should not be mentioned any more than any other opposition player.

I am really pissed off that LB left this club and is now a premiership player.
Why? Because our coach had issues with him.
Would he have made any difference ?
Maybe not. But I'm still pissed off.

I don't think many players ever really bleed for their club like supporters do. If ever I was asked to do anything for any other club there is no way in the world I would do it. For them it is just a job once they really think about it. I am not hanging crap on any players but noone really feels as bad about losing as long term full on supporters.

How much IP did we lose with the break-in and theft of those laptops... where did that information end up...

Pity Collingwood didn't play their version of Max - Presti. It's hard to believe that they were going to play him in preference to N Brown.

I know it shouldn't, but it REALLY bugs me that Ball so quickly got what he sold out for.

Their is a pic on GSP (i think) with Max and collingwoods backline with the premiership cup. Makes me sick to the stomach.

Interesting statement here. Ball has less possessions that only 2 of the Saints and also was beaten for tackles by only 3 Saints! Looks like had leather poisoning compared to most of the Saints playing today.

Heard Ball interviewed on triple M after the game and he sounded genuinely humbled and said he wasn't sure how to feel. Look i'm as pissed as everyone else he is now a premiership player for the scum, but i think he handled himself pretty well

No doubt.

When the siren sounded you could see his celebrations, if you could even call them that, were muted out of respect for his old teammates. He knows he, Roo, Lenny, BJ etc once all shared the same dream of winning one together. I bet he wished they could all experience this with him.

He even referred to Collingwood as "they" IIRC.
