...I actually dont begrudge you in all honesty..and thats not me as a rule at all
I made a decision to stay right to the siren, but sitting through that last quarter was the hardest 30mins ive done in a very long time. That was no ordinary loss, it was all about having to sit through the bragging, the chanting, the derision, the bronx cheers and the ear-shattering noise when the siren went and the filth got their flag. It wasnt for everybody trust me
The only issue I have is that your seats were quickly snapped up by delirious Pies fans from Q level or standing room, which just made it that much harder to stomach

I'm sorry.
I have never left a StKilda game before the end - ever.
But today I walked out at the 20 min mark.
Just couldn't take the pain anymore.
Now I feel ashamed.

And one of them who came & sat in my row even tried to steal my Record from right under my seat! To make it worse he stank.saint66au wrote:The only issue I have is that your seats were quickly snapped up by delirious Pies fans from Q level or standing room, which just made it that much harder to stomach

Leaving before the end is gutless, regardless the circumstances. A lot of my close mates are tigers supporters and I was with them the night geelong took their pants down in 07. They were there to the end, supporting the blokes out there waering the jumper.
as long as they are having a crack they deserve the support from the crowd.

Seriously... why would they come to our sections anyway? eh..
I left with around 5 minutes to go, i plan not to watch anything after that on tv as well...for as long as possible.

Did that last year. Couldn't do it today. Tears started rolling down the face at half time. So close, yet so far.Verdun66 wrote:Watched through to the bitter end....and the ceremony. If our players have to watch it.....then I will.
Wasn't good though.

I NEVER leave a game early, feel if the boys have to stay, so should I. Stayed till the very end last year..... Geelong streamers, the works..... But today, i just couldn't. I left with about 10mins to go. Anyone else but collingwood.. just could not stay to watch them.... Leaving and hearing the siren I felt sick and decided I couldn't go tomorrow either... But now, home, had a drink, watched a bit of the aftermatch and the players... I think I need to go. Closure if nothing else... I left early today, but will be at Moorabbin tomorrow. Sorry we couldn't stay in the area, was terrible when they came piling in! We had to get out of there! Nearly burst into tears when I heard the siren from just outsidesaint66au wrote:...I actually dont begrudge you in all honesty..and thats not me as a rule at all

Stayed to halfway thru the presentations. Also suffered thru the many drunk Pie's fans flooding into our area and facing us to heckle us rather than watching and cheering their team, every time they scored in the last quarter.saint66au wrote:...I actually dont begrudge you in all honesty..and thats not me as a rule at all

Seemed like the longest quarter in history - can't imagine how awful it must have been for the players! I bet they just wanted to walk off!

Half time for me.
Never looked like doing anything worthwhile.
Seven memberships this year.
The local scene next year for me.
Had enough.
Want 40 K members next year.
Ain't gonna happen.
So very disappointing. Can't believe it has come to this.
Lost opportunities has killed this club.
God I hate the 'Filfth'.
Not to rapped in St Kilda either.
