Time for Dal to Lift

Post: # 1005728Post JABBER »

Im a bit harsh but Nick Dal Santo has to lift his workrate from last weeks game. I know he was carrying a injury but he didn't put his body on the line .

Yeah he does need to lift.

Not the lone ranger.

Watched the 2nd half again last night..........was surprised, but Dal was actually pretty good.......defensively.

All he needs to do IMO is get his offensive game going......hope he does, cause it will go a long way towards getting us over the line.

Ross has had a word to NDS, both privately & publicly.

Dal is a quality individual and I'd be very surprised if he doesn't respond in a positive way; a way that will greatly assist our team to claim the big prize. :)

I'd like 21 players + Big Mac to lift from last week!

Yeah agreed.

We almost won with quite a few passengers last week.

I think you can add Peake, Jones, Gram, Mini all to that list also. Plenty of upside if they all get going

Peake, Gram , Eddy all need to get their possession count closer to 20 each... they were around 10 each.

Jones and Dal did okay I thought... they got to 20 possessions each.

Mini just needs to add 5 more possessions - to his 10 tackles.

Collingwood don't apply hard tags so if Dal's not in the game it's because he's not working hard enough.

According to Ross he's a very proud player, I suspect we'll see just how proud on Saturday.

Dal's record in finals against Collingwood, and generally more recently (when not dinged up) has been more than reasonable.

Expect a big performance from Dal.

Dal wasn't at his 30 possession best - but that's understandable given his not 100% and he's having to kick on his non preferred side.

I reckon Gram, Eddy, Peake were well down .. and seeing how Gram sprinted unhampered at the end of the game, I hope to see a lot more run from him and close to 30 possessions this time.

I too, am expecting alot more out of Dal this week.

In part as I tend to think that his body will be in alot better nick this week.

In part as I think the Pies will be mindful of Hayes and BJ..and that will open the door for Dal.

When watching the 2nd half again yesterday Dal was noticeably poor in the 3rd quarter but was very good in the last.

When Lenny laid THAT tackle on Swan in the 3rd, Swan had simply waltzed around Dal with little effort to pressure him let alone lay a tackle. It was really poor but a few of his efforts were really good.

I'm just predicting huge games from Dal & Roo. Roo would have been massively disappointed with his game (even though it was still pretty good) and will tear Brown a new ar5e tomorrow). We just need the midfield to kick the ball to his bloody advantage & the skipper will lead us to the promised land.

PERSIST: DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

I've been loathe to mention it all week...and its hard because his game was still pretty OK....

I, we, HE are expecting a better performance.

I thought Roo did well .. he could have kicked 5 goals.
Improvement from others is required - we can't just leave it up to him and just watch Shaw, Thomas and Maxwell run clear with the ball once more.
No passengers and a team effort this time.

Agreed - he a has a good record against Collingwood.

I'm also expecting a big improvment from Gram.

Roo did have a good game.

I want him to rip the fkn game apart though.

Like we all know he can.

That will teach me to trust the media.

Here I was thinking that all our blokes played above themselves, and couldn't possibly repeat those efforts. And all the Collingwood blokes put in quiet games and this week they'll all redeem themselves. Etc etc.

You people have made me see the light!

We're still a chance :D

If we can get it down inside our 50 one out he will take advantage. The ledger was 62 to 35 inside 50's, if we can increase that to 50 Roo will have 4 or 5 more chances at it and will dominate. As you say it all depends on Lenny, Joe, Dal & co to make it happen for Roo.

i agree - we need to rebalance the ledger to 50 inside 50's each.

So no passengers - and locking down their half back line this time as well as their midfield once more is essential to our win.

Roo will be the benificiary of a mighty team effort... but he only really needs to do what he did last week - it'll be good if he was to kick more goals than points this time.

In % terms -

Most players need to do what they did last week - but 5 or 6 , "the passengers" need to lift 100%.

Dal was't one of the passengers.
