Or Beames/Sidebottom/Blair if they play forward?saintsRrising wrote:Bakes could go to Daisy.
Or to Didak with Dempster to Daisy.
Might take a rotation on Swan as well. Expect Ray to have first crack though.

Is Armo a genuine chance to come in, or is this a last minute attempt to make Armo feel parcially wanted and Ross hoping that he won't request a trade?
as in rain you mean?
Forecast is for 22 and fine - 2 days out it is fairly accurate normally.
With no rain forecast until Monday, rain sounds very unlikely.

I haven't been the biggest Eddy fan, but have warmed to him immensly recently.
He is a tackling machine, and given his lower profile, may be able to tackle hard again this week, as he won't be as sore as some of our targetted stars may be.

That, plus play on Goddard. Apparently he's the ideal match-up for BJ, physically. Interesting that Leon isn't even named on the emergency list. That'll teach him. No fourth time lucky.mordi wrote:be the source of many jokes.........Thinline wrote:What is it that Goldsack's meant to do?
Tag?
Defend?
Run around uncertain?

Get the feeling the Pies have made a change as a reaction to us, thus changing their natural plan... Goldsack (or someone) will tag BJ, which goes against the way they've played all year...
This works well for us... Sure, we aren't going in with 2 set rucks, as we have for most of the year (I feared incorrectly this would hurt us last week), but we are keeping the same structure that we had last week, and this should work in our favour...

Was surprised to see Shithouse replace a goalsneak forward (who admittedly almost won them the game in the end) with a bloke who many Pies supporters see as a "backman, but he'll run with Goddard" to quote a Pie-mad mate of mine.
Knee-jerk reaction to Goddard, I'm loving it.
They now need to push a mid forward to replace Leon, who was always going to occupy one of our hard small backmen (Bakes)

And what exactly would little Jacky Steven bring to the forward line?SaintSimmo wrote:Agreed. Would have liked to have seen little Jacky Steven play in the forward line.StPeter wrote:Eddy very very fortunate!
All well and good to like a player, but they need to be able to deliver.
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Yeah, well atleast he likes to think he's a midfielder. He doesn't get the ball, would love it if he played. Not up to it at all.SainterK wrote:Hmm, McCarthy an emergency...midfielder isn't he?
EDIT: Actually he seems to spend a lot of time up forward...Either way, he doesn't get the ball
