That would definitely rock. Not sure how songs like St. Anger, Master Of Puppets, One, Fade To Black and Sad But True would go down, though!

Yeah I'd be very happy with Metallica - haha.

So Lionel is confirmed. What a Barry Crocker. There aren't many artists I'd like to see less than him. I was planning on getting there early and soaking up the atmosphere too. Dang.

Who are we kidding. INXS should be called something else. When Hutchence died that should have been the end.

It would be good to have someone a little exciting to get the crowd going though.

I didn't watch any of the pre match entertainment last year or last week. I'm pretty sure I was in my seat for it in 97 but don't remember paying attention.

I think the AFL could do worse than to just play last week's match on the scoreboard.

Ironically, Lionel's 'Dancing on the Ceiling' was on the MAX music channel (Foxtel/Austar) on my Virgin Blue flight over for Grand Final 1........

Can I get half the cost of my ticket back for having to put up with the utter crap of The Commodores?

Truth of the matter is, the AFL could of done as much....and made it more of a similar format to one of the other finals, and lowered ticket prices.

TAC Cup GF, retirees motorcade, Up There Cazaly, Holy Grail, players run on, into it.

In my perfect world...

Massive Saints fan! He will be there, but just somewhere else on the ground! :D
I don't think so.

But more importantly, the Saints are playing in a Grand Final and people are concerned about the pre match entertainment! Will it somehow cheapen a Premiership if Lionel Richie played beforehand?

BTW. Rockstar INXS was the best talent show I ever saw. I was actually glad to see JD Fortune fronting the band.
It's a special day and it's only reasonable that people want to suck up the atmosphere and the build up to the big game.

But having said that, I'm with you kosifantutti23. I'd take Dennis Walter and a win over The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones, or U2 and a loss.

(actually I'd probably have to give this a bit more thought if it was The Beatles, but only if it was the full line-up  )

Exactly what I was attempting to say.

This is a football game, why do they attempt to make it anything other than what it is, a footy game. Do the AFL think people want to pay more to see a third or fourth rate act before the game? Can someone please explain to them that it's only the footy that anyone's interested in?

Or maybe they know people will still pay whatever is needed even if i was playing. Keep the prices the same and have no one sing IMO. I will be at the bar like I was last week until 2.20. Perfect timing.

Any little kids watching at the ground, or on TV, may not sleep for a week though. "It's just the beasts under your bed, in your closet, in your head"!

Hello...it's a result were looking for.
Coz I wonder where it is.
I wonder what Ross will do.
Will Maxwell hoist the trophy.
Or will the victor be Roo.
Tell them how to stop Goddard.
For the haven't got a clue.
Please let it be Milney saying.
Mick, STFU.
