That would definitely rock. Not sure how songs like St. Anger, Master Of Puppets, One, Fade To Black and Sad But True would go down, though!#1GILL wrote:Metallicaaaaaaaaa.....Maybe too expensive and not family friendly but who cares? They are here and they are rocking!
And you thought INXS were a bit dull.....

TAC Cup GF, retirees motorcade, Up There Cazaly, Holy Grail, players run on, into it.saint3d wrote:I didn't watch any of the pre match entertainment last year or last week. I'm pretty sure I was in my seat for it in 97 but don't remember paying attention.
I think the AFL could do worse than to just play last week's match on the scoreboard.
In my perfect world...

On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. It's a special day and it's only reasonable that people want to suck up the atmosphere and the build up to the big game.kosifantutti23 wrote:I don't think so.thirty-seven!? wrote:Massive Saints fan! High on the hill looking over the bridge to the MCG.......
But more importantly, the Saints are playing in a Grand Final and people are concerned about the pre match entertainment! Will it somehow cheapen a Premiership if Lionel Richie played beforehand?
BTW. Rockstar INXS was the best talent show I ever saw. I was actually glad to see JD Fortune fronting the band.
But having said that, I'm with you kosifantutti23. I'd take Dennis Walter and a win over The Beatles, or The Rolling Stones, or U2 and a loss.
(actually I'd probably have to give this a bit more thought if it was The Beatles, but only if it was the full line-up )

Exactly what I was attempting to say.SainterK wrote::lol:Bernard Shakey wrote:Can I get half the cost of my ticket back for having to put up with the utter crap of The Commodores?
Truth of the matter is, the AFL could of done as much....and made it more of a similar format to one of the other finals, and lowered ticket prices.
This is a football game, why do they attempt to make it anything other than what it is, a footy game. Do the AFL think people want to pay more to see a third or fourth rate act before the game? Can someone please explain to them that it's only the footy that anyone's interested in?
Old enough to repaint, but young enough to sell
Or maybe they know people will still pay whatever is needed even if i was playing. Keep the prices the same and have no one sing IMO. I will be at the bar like I was last week until 2.20. Perfect timing.Bernard Shakey wrote:Exactly what I was attempting to say.SainterK wrote:Bernard Shakey wrote:Can I get half the cost of my ticket back for having to put up with the utter crap of The Commodores?
