Also Fisher, Gilbert, Gram, Montagna, Dal Santo, Jones, Milne, Schneider, Riewoldt, Koschitzke, Ray, Peake, Dempster, Blake, McQualter, Eddy, Gwilt, Dawson, Baker, and anyone else that lines up for us.
Who are they kidding?

The article also mentioned they won't be kicking it to Fisher this week. Damn. I wonder if they're targeting another one of our players this week? Seriously, Collingwood, Collingwood, Collingwood, isn't it?InkerSaint wrote:Also Fisher, Gilbert, Gram, Montagna, Dal Santo, Jones, Milne, Schneider, Riewoldt, Koschitzke, Ray, Peake, Dempster, Blake, McQualter, Eddy, Gwilt, Dawson, Baker, and anyone else that lines up for us.

Good idea just shut down half the saints midfield most of their forward line stop it going to any of defenders and they should win. They're smarter than they look.
Seriously works to our favour if they spend the match watching our players. The best footy they play is on their terms. We are winning the battle if the get reactive.

They developed and perfected a game plan that saw them minor premiers and Premiership favourites.degruch wrote:Great, Lenny and BJ 'shut down', NDS gets the Norm Smith, closely followed by Joey.
Do they think they can make significant changes to it at 1 minute to midnight? Yeah shut these blokes down but if you do don't expect to be able to play the way you have on the road to the GF. Not unless you're planning to put all 22 players on the ground at the same time.
Tinker away Maggies, tinker away.

Well, I think they're aware of their downfalls, quite obvious, and they'd like everyone to know. I'm not convinced with their current cattle, that they can do much about it, apart from robbing Peter to pay Paul.Dr Spaceman wrote:They developed and perfected a game plan that saw them minor premiers and Premiership favourites.degruch wrote:Great, Lenny and BJ 'shut down', NDS gets the Norm Smith, closely followed by Joey.

I just got texted by an old mate who is a filth supporter saying they are going to smash us. He was into it last week as well. You can tell the smirk has come off a few faces. Last week he was full mean spirited amusement at his own brand of humour. This week he has got a little more sensitive and has stopped texting.
He just happened to text after a few back and forth messages that "at least we have more fags" sic.
Now I'm not homophobic but in a slanging match that is like a red rag to a bull so I texted back is that outing Sharon Wellingham- he hasn't bothered me since.
He texted every few minutes while I was watching the prelim shitting me because he was there and I was watching delayed on tv, saying we were down by 8 goals and saying players had injured themselves.
Good riddance, and hopefully the rest of the pies fans have pulled their heads in a little too.

We have significant obstacles to overcome to bet them as we would any qualty opposition, but GF1 epitomised our whole season - adversity, adapt, overcome.
Personally I'd love it if they were going to alter their structure. Doubt they will though.
"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
How are they going to shut down Goddard in particular? Who do they have that can play on each aspect of Goddards game? If he plays back, and they put a defensive forward on him, put him in the midfield to shake the tag. If they tag him in the midfield, throw him forward. I can't think of anyone that could come close to stopping all three of these aspects.
And I think it's great they're going to try and stop Lenny. If you watch his work on the weekend, most of the time he got the ball it was when he was about to be tackled and he still made good decisions, can't play him much closer than he already was on the weekend. The only thing that I think that will come from this is that Lenny may get a lot of off the ball frees for holding, as he generally gets a lot through the year.

They had 4 players dragging goddard down in the 4th quarter and he still disposed of the footy legally.
I haven't seen that sort of power in a player since G.ablett senior and plugger.
goddard's endorphin levels must have been astronomical, he looked like a man possessed.

Goddard is on his way to being a more complete, better footballer than the filth's Nathan Buckley. He is bigger, faster, stronger and a better kick and mark. Glad he is our gun.Dan Warna wrote:They had 4 players dragging goddard down in the 4th quarter and he still disposed of the footy legally.

Hey gringo, I have mates who are Filth supporters but none of 'em would do that crud. We have all been very respectful, especially after Saturday.
I figure we were lucky to be in it at half time.
They were lucky to be in it at the final gong.

Totally agree with you & Ross will expect this to happen & will have Plan B & C. I also feel that Dal or Joey OR even Roo + Chips will get loose & crack the game open.degruch wrote:Great, Lenny and BJ 'shut down', NDS gets the Norm Smith, closely followed by Joey.
Having said that it is difficulut to shut down champion players like Lenny & BJ. Best they can do is limit their influence but the Bib Blonde will tear them apart.
