We played out a draw with a rotation down, two effective mid fielders who played forward, ruck, back and middle. But the the pies can only get better?

So I am super confident we will outplay them in the later stages of the game.

I was sick with nerves all last week thinking that they may just blow us away early... this week I'm super confident.

I think the game will be played more like a continuation of the second half.

We banged the bulldogs up pretty badly in the second half. Now I know we hear that maybe more of our players our carrying injuries than theirs.
But I just wonder how banged up they are and if their injuries are worse than ours.
Didak appears to be of most concern to them, Jolly couldn't run the game out, which to me is why McEvoy should play and we should rotate our rucks with McEvoy, Kosi and Blakey.
For me, if they don't jump us this week, or if we can jump them, big advantage us.
Just have to believe we want it more than them.

Saturday was an emotional rollercoaster - when I knew it would be a draw I almost felt relieved because I knew we'd be coming back this Saturday, and we'd have another chance to start well and take control of the game early.

For all the talk of Pies having players 'down', there's been little talk of Saints guys who were - in a relative sense - missing.

Gram, Dal, Roo, Montagna and a few of our role players could all lift a notch.

There's no way known we'll play a second quarter like that again. We are too professional.

We have mature, extremely tough and extremely talented leadership that runs deep into our 22.

A fresh ruckman with a high off-the-ball workrate is a massive bonus.

And uncompromised rotation system this week including our usual forward set up.

A good close look at the the Pies system.

Eliminate the panic kicks and keep a lid on the adrenalin and it'll all come down to who recovers better off field.

Given our proven ability to really run games out all year, I'm backing us in by 25 plus.

if they kick goals instead of points, in the 2nd quarter last week, they would have been up by 40 points or something.

well this week im not taking it forgranted

on friday i got a massive migraine that screwed me up big time

went to the function over herefor first half of gf but couldnt handle noise and had to leave.... as i couldnt even see was in that much pain

then missed all of 3rd and most of last (which i rewatched game)
migraine went yesterday (never had one so bad)

so just cant wait to see the mighty saints win!!!

At every stage of this year's footy season it seems the Saints have had major obstacles to climb, as if last year's GF wasn't painful enough. As soon as Rooey did his hammy 'they' were telling us our flag hopes were dashed, that we were a 1 man team. Round 6 the bulldogs thought their game was sewn up and we came back in an amazing last part of the last quarter (happy birthday Dad). Remember how it felt, trudging back to the G to play the cats, the 1st time back since THAT game, how nobody thought the Saints could take on geelong. Not even going to go into the Lovett saga.

Point is, all year nobody has given us a chance. The Saints have climbed their own mountains week in, week out, with last year's GF replaying constantly. We've had to do it with them, week in week out.

Last week I was just one of thousands of Sainters, screaming to the boys "U can do this". I'll be back again this Saturday, screaming all over again because we can and we will do it this year...

I have never been so sure of anything in my life (and i'm not given to collingwood style delusions of grandeur)

Pretty zen last week, no nerves, very confident. This week, pretty zen, no nerves, very confident.

I've had a number of neutrals (not a word from the few Pies supporters I know) state that we played out of our skin, were lucky not to be done by 10 goals, Collingwood won't have an off game again, etc., which has disturbed my zen-like state...so I certainly hope these pricks wake up when we roll the Pies this weekend. I HAS to happen. Ommmmmmm.
