Kosi and Blakey
Dunno if anyone has mentioned this on another thread but there was a great moment between the two in the sheds after the game.
The camera were on them - Blakey was sitting while Kosi leaned down, heads touching slightly. Kosi was talking, possibly saying, 'well done mate, we did well. Now we do it again'.
And Blakey looks up at Kosi with that boyish grin...

I saw that too! It was a nice moment and they both looked like happy boys. Spoke well of their frame of mind after the game I think. Faces still flushed from the battle but with ready smiles.
Same goes for BJ when the spoke to him on the ground, he was upbeat and happy.
I like to see that from our boys.

Frankly, I thought our attitude post game was nothing short of breathtaking.
Mightily impressed I was.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'

i think they were both very good. i would like to think that if Kosi could get 2-3 goals next week and Reiwoldt kick 3 goals, and the samll forwards kick goals as well etc etc we will do well. we still need to improve. Unfortunately the magpies probably will as well. especially since we laid all our cards on the table.

attitude is one thing, ability is another. we simply have more ability than them.Dr Spaceman wrote:Can think of no reason why it wouldn't.Owen wrote:equally .. as long as it stays that way right throughout this week ..Thinline wrote:Frankly, I thought our attitude post game was nothing short of breathtaking.

we're stronger, more patient, more determined and we desire it more.
there are, however a handful of other things that warrant consideration in truth though we are already over the line if we play good footy.
Too much pressure on Roo I guess, he would have to bring in another key forward, unless Gilbo goes forward and we bring in someone like Geary.SainterK wrote:I am really leaning towards the thinking that Ross will go in with both of them again...
Why change a good thing?
So it would be:
In: Geary
Out: Gardiner
Kosi first ruck, Blake rucks when Brown does.
Gilbo goes forward to take pressure off Roo and Geary plays in the backline.
Not sure if I like that or not, but it will definitely be something Ross is considering

As good as the Kosi/Blake duo worked IMO we HAVE to bring Big Ben in this week. Rotate Kosi and McEvoy through ruck and Full Forward. This will allow Roo more freedom than he had last week and also allow us to play Milne higher up the ground without him being stuck in the goal square.

Yeah it was a nice moment. I love when I see the boys share these sort of bonds, especially veterans like Kosi and the Blake.stevie wrote:Dunno if anyone has mentioned this on another thread but there was a great moment between the two in the sheds after the game.

Both Blake and Kozi did extremely well. The satisfaction in their faces post game was evident.
A full time ruck is still required, we went 3rd man up with Lenny/BJ/even Roo so many times, for a full game it takes too much away from the midfield.
Ben into ruck and rotate as a spare tall when kozi does some work.
