Hitting Kosi in the head in the last five minutes.

No case to answer IMO

Yeah, no case for me. It was clumsy, Kosi got a free(which he didn't even realise at first).

Can anyone tell me the exact minute BJ dropped the knee?

Dont know exactly when it happened, but in his efforts to reach in to either get the ball or drag it into the player on the ground his knee moved downwards but their was no pressure , it was not deliberate nor with force

Unless there is a deliberate hit, eg punch to the head that causes injury, the MRP should just say all clear.
Nothing that happened yesterday warrants a penalty.
Though speaking selfishly, would love Jolly to get a week and have the Magpies distracted by trying to get him off.

Except for the MRP giving Baker another 9 weeks, they should take no action against either side this week.

It'll be a nervous wait.

Double points.

Biggest MRP sitting ever.

I think the double points is mainly there to stop one team seeking an unfair advanntage with underhand tactics to takea player or players out.

There was none of that. Just some incidents in the heat of battle.

No one will go IMO from I recall of the incidents...

Even though some will say that this is a new game, it is in reality a continuation of yesterday's proceedings.

Malthouse has said, and was quoted by Andy D, as saying it's "half time".

That being the case it would surely be an expectation that as best as possible the same sides go around next week.

So I think short of someone knocking someone else's block off, not much will be done.

I think they should just let all the players be able to play next week... eg goddard, didak, jolley.

Having seen Jolly's offence in the flesh and again on replay I will be astonished if he is not suspended. There was no spoil intended, he smashed Kosi in the side of the head and Kosi's head went sideways at a right angle. Has to go.

I agree... was not going for the ball.

It was high, intentional, reckless and forceful... double points, should be gawn.

They will find a way to let him play, just like Hall.

TFS highlighted two incidents this morning:

The Jolly hit on Kosi and Ben Johnsons jumper punches on Joey.

They didn't even mention the BJ-Ball incident !!

NEW scarf signature (hopefully with correct spelling) will be here as soon as it arrives !!

Just watched a replay of the Jolly incident. A pretty fair whack in the head. Ordinarily will go but I'm unsure given 'special' finals rules on this sort of stuff.

Goddard will have no case to answer. Although there is no such thing as precedent with the MRP, I liken it to the incident where Kosi kneeled on someones head last year? the year before? Rather than kneeing him in the head I reckon Goddard kneeled into his head. ie. less force and not enough to consitute a report

The ball was a metre away- not even close so it deserves 2 weeks .. no doubt about it.
it was a forceful punch with a clenched fist.

You don't miss by a metre... that doesn't happen.

Nothing in it at all. Does Gilbert get reported as well because he missed the ball? No and neither does Jolly.

From the initial TV camera angle it appears there is nothing in it, it looks like a glancing blow. But from where I was standing and from the second camera angle behind, it was a huge hit.

Grand final stipulates double penalties -- he's got to go -- and good, he was one of their best.

Would be a week in H&A,but they'll give benefit of the doubt in a final.

Couldn't see any jumper punches with Johnson unfortunatly,I looked hard, but won't go for that.

If they did take the harsh option and charge him, what would the penalty add up to? Reckless, low impact, high contact?

reckless (2 points), low impact (1 point), high contact (2 points)

5 activation points resulting in a level two offence

Not sure about his previous history and the number of activation points for a level 2 offence. Also ppl keep suggesting double points? I'm unsure of this also. Ordinarily 2 weeks I think. The big talking point is that whether or not it is low impact or of an insufficient force. Low impact I would think but it is interesting to see what will come of it.
