Re: picks
28, 36, 46 is a crapshoot. Better to have multiple horses in the race. Last 6 pick 28s: Sam Taylor, Lipinski, Partington, Viojo-Rainbow, Lewis Taylor, Tim O'Brien Last 6 pick 36s: Constable, Josh Williams, Cole, Vickers Willis, Jarryd Jansen, Tim Smith Last 6 pick 46s: Paton, Mitch Hannan, Hulett, C...

Re: Damning Post on Richo
The "free pass" comment is spot on IMO. The three players who exhibit the least willingness to run defensively when the opposition have the ball all happen to be in the leadership group (not the captain). They are equally as careless with ball in hand. What sort of example is it setting to...

Re: Saints no 1 in scoring chains from back 50
Worth noting that we are number 1 by percentage and not amount. Which implies that we are 18th in terms of percentage of chains starting from outside the back 50.
Given that we are the 4th-lowest scoring team of the year - that is the real stat.

Re: Goddard offer - SEN report
I have little doubt that in a perfect world Brendon wants to stay - but from my understanding he also believes he should be the highest paid player at the club. Given the demographic of their list I also have little doubt that GWS have the resources to pay him substantially more than what he is dema...

Misson went because Melbourne offered him a 4 year deal at double the money. He had been asking for a new contract from the Saints for 6 months and nothing was forthcoming.. sound familiar?SainterK wrote:I do find it strange that Misson has gone there, at some point, perhaps they were moving as a team?

He's an excuse maker. All he does at press conferences after losing is list excuses. Spot on - I'm glad someone else has picked up on this - never heard any coach make as many excuses as he does. A mentality that might get you close to a GF but it won't win you one. Worse options out there but I do...

Re: There is a bombshell we the public don't know
Salary Cap issues?? Heard we were operating at close to if not spot on 100%. In the article/press release in The West Ross was asked about Mitch Clark and said he was advised earlier in the year that we had some cash freed up and had been looking at him.. so I don't think this was an issue My best ...

Mark Neeld for mine. Look at what he has done with Collingwood's midfield. He's done a bit of media and impressed every time. The most accomplished of the lot. He's in charge of the Pies stoppage set ups and it's here and on the spread that Collingwood kill teams. Swan Pendles and Daisy were GOPs no...

Always been a fan since his first kick for goal. Raph shows a lot of leadership down back and works hard to organise the structures. He was excellent again last night, love watching him lope out of the backline in the knowledge that he will use it to advantage. His contested work is much improved an...

I think the hammy he did last year is often glossed over too quickly in these types of discussions. Before that he was absolutely flying and in my mind the best player in the comp. He is a lot slower in his acceleration these days, unable to gain the extra yard or two on his opponent and thus nudged...

I thought tonight highlighted exactly why we need Kosi. He straightens up our forward line. There was less 'kick it to Roo' tonight than the last couple of weeks but having the big fella back down there takes a good defender and stops the double/triple-teaming. Also, we got absolutely smashed in the...

I have a problem with the fact checking and perhaps the arithmetic of these so-called journalists. Sam Gilbert was not 24 at the time of the alleged incident, he was 23. I know that it doesn't matter in the scheme of things, but it is a pretty easy thing to check. I found his birth date on the St K...

On BF a year or two back there was a trade rumour started on the North board specifically to see if the papers would run with it. Involved Gavin Urquhart for a pick or player I think. Was in the paper and discussed pretty much every day for the entire trade week when there was absolutely zero basis ...
