Re: Saints Uniforms

Yes. And that they did.
And not only that, players wore jumpers with the black and red swapped, some with thinner stripes and some with wider stripes.
All in the same team photos.

Re: Saints Uniforms

http://www.bomberblitz.com/mero/images/StKilda-1908.gif I would say you mean this one, which was worn by some players between 1906 and 1909. I have it listed on the Home jumpers page, but not in the uniforms. That's because I've gone for the jumper most players used, and while there certainly were ...

Saints Uniforms

For those that don't know, I own a little website called www.footyjumpers.com On there are all jumpers for all teams, for all time. (As far as I can find) I've had the team uniforms for a while, but just completed the revised Saints version with all sponsor logos. If you go to the website, then clic...

My apology for going off on a tangent on this but in the picture, none of the jumpers have 'the cross' on them. When did it become part of our jumper? Origin of St Kilda's Uniform Crest Round 5, 1933 St Kilda vs North Melbourne: Nine Saints players were seriously injured during the game. They event...

Well, I agree to an extent, however, I would suggest the push by the AFL for all clubs to adopt Clash jumpers is more a push to increase revenues than it is an appeal to fairness. Let's face it, being fair to all is really not one of the AFL's strong suits. Otherwise North would still be playing on ...

could have read your post [iceman234] incorrectly but yeah it's suppose to look intimidating. Glad you feel the same way about it. If you haven't done so already check out the other post 'clash jumper designs' or something like that so you can get a good feel of what it's achieving. Page 8. I agree...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v477/rmered/Mero-Saints3.gif I like the simplicity of this design and also the white version of this... I would like to see how it would look with the large V in black as the red and white V jumpers remind me a bit of the Swans .... That would look like this: http:...

Some great choices there...these need to be printed off and presented to the club...if anyone is iterested in forming a coordinated group to approach the club with a members view on the future clash jumper pm me. The way the policy reads, clubs must have a Light jumper and a Dark jumper. Now, given...

I also posted this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v477/rmered/Mero-Saints1.gif that one is fab! its mostly white, has our logo in it, no vertical lines, and looks angy! i like it! I would be interested to see how a gradient like that would work on material.... But I think I would rather it if w...

The thing I like about it, and I won't be claiming it as my design, only a rte-colouring of an existing StKilda design, is that it's relatively normal. No weird SBS stripes like Port use, or faded logos like the 07 Clash jumper. It's just a vee and a yoke and the StKilda logo. It makes it easier fo...

Drew.Evans wrote:The V design in shape is too similiar to the Demons even though the colours are different IMO
Fitzroy were the first club to have a vee, then StKilda, and eventually Melbourne.
As I mentioned above, this is a traditional design with a re-arranging of current club colours.

Last time I submitted anything to the club it came back as the Number 2 option to 07's jumper. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v477/rmered/StKildaClash.jpg It was exactly like this, and was done in 2003 in MS Paint. I use Illustrator now and can make them look a bit better. (I am also partly to bl...

Well, it's no longer a Heritage style jumper, and it's a brand new design, but I guess it's the club colours in a traditional design.

What I'd be recommending:
Modernised version of the 1919-1922 jumper
Image

What they'll probably do:
Modernised non-descriptive shape, with gradeint colours for no real reason.
