Tony taught my son a couple of years ago, a damned good teacher and you could not find a nicer bloke; it's fantastic to have Tony Brown back at the Saints! Just on that note, I think it's great that we're getting some of our ex players wanting to come back and get involved with the club again, with ...

Agree with you about Anthony Anastasio Plugger; the kid is a livewire and is the logical replacement for Milney. He lights up the footy field with some of the stuff he does, he is lightning quick, knows where the goals are and is a brilliant tackler. I know size counts against him but look at Blair...

I don't know why anyone would hate Grant Thomas, he helped this club enormously - in fact, I know it won't happen, but I'd be glad if we got him back as coach. The main criticism of Grant and supposedly the main reason we let him go is because he wielded too much power. I thought he was a good coach...

Ross Lyon is definitely one of the best coaches in the business but only a shell of a man. He might be going West so he can get himself a fist full of dollars but he won't come out of this with his integrity intact. Not only has he elected not to fulfil his obligations to the Saints but he's respons...

Time's up for X
Not sure if anyone's posted this already but Brisbane has decided to delist Xavier Clarke. A real tragic story as he had immense talent but injuries just kept cutting him down. http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/208/newsid/123185/default.aspx A really popular figure whilst at the Saints an...

If Melbourne has approached Ross Lyon, and that appears to be the case, then I think it's really poor form for any club to be trying to poach a coach from another team when:- a) that coach is not coming out of contract (Ross obviously has another year) b) the team involved is preparing for a finals ...

If you listen to flogs like Matthew Lloyd, Rooey's career is as good as over. That couldn't be further from the truth; our captain is a champion and you write champion's off at your peril - he will bounce back. He's clearly injured but still giving his all. Don't knock him, support him....that's wha...

Tom Lynch
God I hope I'm wrong but I think I've seen enough of Tom to make the call that he's really going to struggle to make it at AFL level. He's a good kid and you cannot fault his endeavour, but skills are just OK and he's way too slow, does anybody else see it that way? Tom, if you're reading this, plea...

Sean Dempster is a ripper, I've sung his praises before on this forum. Finally I think we're all starting to understand how important he is to us. A little guy with a ton of courage who plays a lot like Max Hudghton used to - absolutely no regard for personal welfare, team comes first. Hope you're b...

I thought exactly the same thing when he did that - surprised none of our guys tried to ruffle his feathers after him displaying that sort of arrogance and lack of respect for the opposition. He must have had shocking BO as no one attempted to get near him at any stage last night. Rossy needs to man...

Disappointed that we lost obviouly but really happy with the way our guys went about it tonight. With a bit of luck and better delivery into the forward line, we could have won tonight. Win, lose or draw I was hoping to come away from tonight's game thinking that if we do come up against them in Sep...

Bazza's hanging up the boots
Saw this story in the Herald Sun regarding BBB calling it quits. Journo, Matt Windley, goes on to say that Barry Hall moved to Sydney after 'he was forced out of Moorabbin'....absolute rubbish, I swear there are more and more journos that just won't let the truth get in the way of a good story. http...

Sammy Gilbert back on track
I've got the impression over the last 3 weeks that Sam Gilbert is well and truly back on track after that 'minor upheaval' pre season. Early in the year he was getting caught with the ball a lot and giving away stupid free kicks. He's now playing with the confidence we're used to seeing, giving us p...

To see him poll the most number of votes on Brownlow night and not get it as a result of this cowardly act would make me very very happy. I really really dislike this little p**** more than ever now and I hope he gets tagged every single week from now on. It's obvious now that he doesn't cope with i...

What's the chances of Daisy ever hitting anyone who is looking at him ? According to fat ed's new guidelines that is homophobic and racist. You are sentenced to one month with the felafel munching rapists. So if Daisy came at Jones from behind, was he in fact going all brokeback? Wouldn't su...

I actually like Eddie, we both went to the same high school CBC (he was one year below me) and he's a good Christian boy but really a case of pot kettle black here Ed. As has been referred to already, it's a case of double standards when he can go on about the land of the falafel and then give some ...

Fantastic win by the boys today, fanatical desperation and will to win which resulted in both BJ and Sean Dempster going down as a result of friendly fire. I know that Sean Dempster is one that many like to bag on this forum. What you saw in the last couple of minutes is the reason why this guy gets...
