Re: Roo Bags Seaford
Seaford itself is not geographically challenged. Roo is challenged for living a long way from work. Seaford is 35 minutes on the freeway from the cbd if you choose to live in the cbd and play for the bayside footy team. Seaford has the best beach in Melbourne and enough amenities and cafes. Plus Fr...

Re: The Age paywall
Change the domain. So instead of www.theage.com.au/etcetc I change the "theage" to "watoday" as they have no paywall. Only smh and watoday have paywalls, watoday, brisbanetimes and canberratimes do not. As for the Herald Sun, change the domain to news.com.au. It even works for Th...

Drug investigation? Beams (the Pies rapist) was out for 16 weeks with a "quad" strain which is exactly the amount of time for an infraction suspension Do you like when Milne is called a Rapist? Agree 100%. Alleging someone to be a rapist just to smear them is terrible. Beams was investiga...

Re: Would you accept this trade?
How about Dal and pick 4 for pick 1 and GWS mid round pick (eg 12).
Think they'd take that in a heartbeat and if Tom Boyd is half as good as ppl think he is, then we'll go alright

I've made a pact with death that it only comes for me after I've seen StKilda win a premiership. I was born in the mid 80s so I missed all the terrible times but the losses in 09 and 10 were obviously hard to bear.

Whoever has BJ should drag him to the last line of defence! I loved BJ but I've never seen someone so skilled literally wet themselves everytime they were 1on1 on the last line of defence like he did. Constantly gave away free kicks for holdings, and often when he didn't, he probably should have.

Re: Westaway speaks!
Hawks came good in the 90's  The Hawks nearly went under in the late 90's turn of the century. A few smart decisions were crucial - Like basing themselves at Waverley and managing to secure an MCG deal. I would argue that we were in roughly the same boat as the hawks, but instead went to Eti...

There was also the issue of the extremely stubborn bowling club, who would not re-locate a couple of hundred metres from their South Road frontage. . Can categorically state the bowling club were all for the move. My former manager was a member at the time and he was pissed off the deal collapsed, ...

Couldn't fault the grounds down there...but it's nearly as far as Seaford! Nearly as far from what? God im tired of numbskull conservatives like you that add piss weak negativity at any chance and complain about a 40 minute drive from the Bourke Street mall. Seaford is at the beach, closer to the M...

Ran into Wakes after the drawn GF in 2010! Asked him which team he was supporting! He replied "Pies mate". I promptly booed him after hearing his response! (I was naturally decked out in my Saints gear so he certainly wasn't trying to please me with his response!)

Going against the grain but he's actually right. He's just referring to a small part of the game plan. In 08 Collingwood played the ball through the wings as opposed through the middle of the ground and did get heavily criticised for it because when the ball did get inside the forward 50 it would en...

Fortius Quo Fidelius never more appropriate
So I am a long time reader, past contributor (from 2003-2006) but today's news have encouraged me to write on this forum once more. Firstly, I loved Ross - thought he was an amazing coach, was adamant he wouldn't leave us for Melbourne and am devastated by the news. But I won't pass any judgment on ...

Good to see that the majority of the posters seem to now be supporting Zac as opposed to the earlier posters. But in all seriousness it's not about blindly supporting Zac because he's a Saints player - but respecting his right to have an opinion. He's had a pretty ordinary year to date but he's play...

Can't believe the lack of support for Zac. Anyone who read Walls' article in Feb after the NZ incident where he publicly ripped into Zac for his actions on the NZ trip (when it turned out that all he did was have a glass of red with dinner - minor infringement but still against the rules - compared ...

Players the ilk of Spider and to a lesser extent Barry Hall were gotten rid of/ mutually departed (whichever way you wish to look at it) to build the strong culture that allows us to take a problem case like Cousins. Aaron Hamill even has said himself that whilst he believes that the Saints can hand...

Would be very disappointed if this isn't the match-up ... Maxy beat Buddy hands down the last time we played them and I think he should definitely be the man this week ... The only problem to this occuring is if they play Buddy at CHF and Roughhead at FF ... I would then expect Max to play on Roughh...

Agree with the above I too was a adamant Lenny fan for the captaincy, with Bally actually running 2nd (Despite the fact Riewoldt is my fav player) But having seen Roo's leadership this year (taking nothing away from Lenny or Ball's respective leadership performances) - Its clear he should be our cap...
