Re: A stat showing our rebuild has a long way to go..
I concur with the OP, you look at a 19 year old Wingard for example & you quickly realize our youngens aren't quite up to THAT standard. Not that they should be.. he was pick 6. But as the OP suggested, this years draft picks must be top-notch. Make #3 really count Sainters.. To have any impact...

Re: OK, time for a Pollyanna thread
I accept, we are awful for now, just hope we are exceptional in the off season recruiting wise, that is where I actually like what I am hearing from SW. I get the feeling he is painfully aware of what we need, but unlike Carlton, he is not going to jeopardise the future by investing too much in one...

Re: No.1 Pick - Tom Boyd
Even if the Saints want that deal, McEvoy would have to want to play at the Giants and I can't see that being the case. Reckon there's a 99% chance the Big Boy will be at the Saints next year and we should be glad to have him. While I agree with your post #GILL please dont call McEvoy Big Boy. That...

Re: Farren sticking around
I reckon he's been pretty maligned over the years with us, always preferred him in the team. Not a superstar, but jesus, not a Robert Eddy either. Watch him in an interview or two & you really see that type of experience/leadership he'd bring to a young side. A good clubman I have no doubt. Very...

Re: Sandy V Cats
Does Ledger get in this week ,surely deserves a crack instead of Sippos's who was very disappointing ,I think he needs a big pre-season and to be told he"s not the new Goddard and needs hard work to become 1/5 as good as BJ! We need to be told he's not the new Goddard. Doubt that ridiculous th...

Re: Rhys on the table
I have seen Rhys kick a few goals off nice marks lets not forget the good the kid has shown.. he's had a dog year being moved all around the place... I hoped he could be a backman but looks like he's a forward... he has played very well as a forward in the past. so don't just write him off based on...

Re: what made luke ball react to the crowd?
I just worry it could be the other side of the coin now.. in 3 years time when we're ready to raid we're a complete basket case & no amount of salary cap space will make a difference. I'm a big believer in the little things having a big roll-on effect at times.. Especially when It's all people-d...

Re: what made luke ball react to the crowd?
Most on here were happy he was offloaded, even for zero.... Club was defended! He was even called a dud.... A respected former B&F winner and captain?! Same said for BJ I have to say that is actually not right and some would even say it is a lie. When did anyone say BJ was a dud? And i dont thi...

Re: Rhys on the table
In all seriousness though, what do people actually expect we'd get in return for the likes of a Stanley or a Siposs? Is this 'perceived potential' everyone's banging on about purely just our twisted perception? Who actually believes we'd get much better than the #75 we picked up Arryn with? Has he r...

Re: What a suprise. Cheats.
No point in whinging ... we'll never get the points back ... Try putting your passion into complimenting and recognising the players who really stood up for the Saints in that second half. Just really hurts because you could see how pumped/emotional they were as we were coming back... A win tonight...

morons talking about sacking the coach. anyone that does knows bugger all about building a football team, especially making the call in the first half of a football game. Calls for sacking the coach are purely emotive.. The 1st half we dished up, truly was some insipid s***. That should be acknowle...

Seems like Watters gave them an old fashioned spray at halftime.. Thank f***!! Completely turned around. One of our best quarters I can remember..
Come on Sainters!! Let's finish it.

I'm reserving my judgement on Watters. But if he comes out after the game & praises their effort as usual, I swear..
Enough f****** cuddles.

Re: Game thread v Port
Watters has progressively turned our team into a rabble, we have players showing no interest and others that out of form it's embarrassing. We will not improve while he is running the club... Hallelujah Bro, Agree,.....looks like they want the season to end now.... Hey, he was best available. Eithe...

Re: Keeping it Real in the Re Build
I agree. Though sure we do have to show some faith in our boys, the fact is most of them were later speculative picks. For a lot of them to come good, & I mean come real good, It'd actually be minor miracle sort of stuff really.. Siposs at 70 odd, plenty of 30-40 odd picks. Without adding more ...

Re: Pick 3 in next years draft: locked in
Just get Aish and best available kid at 22 and Ill be pumped. Then get Mitch Brown on top. Wouldn't it be nice to get a silky Aish type with our 1st & a slider such as a Dunstan (could be the classic immediate-impact slider) with our 2nd pick. Especially if we're looking to upgrade/bolster our ...
