Re: Match Thread Saints v Power Round 6 2021
Is there any danger that we switch the play in the backline rather than kicking it long to a contest that we invariably lose? What was that definition of insanity again?

Re: Brad Hill should take kick ins
Good kick. Fast, So he might cause the opposition defense a concern about how to patrol the area and prevent him from running out. (although the rules now might prevent that?) Create some misdirection and confusion for the other team, try cut back inside to hit a target in the corridor. Beats just ...

Brad Hill should take kick ins
A mate mentioned to me that this could be a good idea. Gives him some easy ball to get his confidence up, utilises his elite skills and run (could run 20m+ each time) and takes the ball out of Dougals hands who is prone to some shockers. Thoughts? I know we want him delivering the ball into the forw...

Re: Billings
Play him off half back. Surely his decision making and delivery will surpass that of Webster and Newnes! How many ball butchers can one backline hold? I could not agree with this more. He would be perfect off the half back flank spotting up targets. Get rid of Savage, he is ok but Billings would be...

Re: Gaff trade
I'd love to see Gaff in the red, white and black. Some people might say he's a bit soft but he is an elite outside runner with great endurance and can actually hit a bloody target which most of our guys seem to struggle with. We have enough quality inside mids who are exceptional at getting the hard...

Re: Stringer
This Stringer scenario reminds me a bit of the Stevie J situation all those years ago. Was inconsistent, lazy and seemed disinterested. Geelong very nearly let the guy go but gave him another chance. Eventually things clicked and he turned into an absolute gun (who ripped us to shreds many times). O...

Re: Ross out of position
It's not to do with Ross but Dunstan and Steele. Richo likes those two, with reason, but they're too one dimensional. Thus, Ross plays wing sometimes because of those 3 (actually, plus Koby), only Ross has another string to his bow. Fair call with Dunstan and Steele. But Ross is wasted on the wing ...

Ross out of position
Was closely watching Seb Ross today vs the Tigers. He was clearly one of our best players in the first half playing on the ball but for some unknown reason was moved onto the wing in the second half where he had no influence.
Is he injured or is something else going on? I cannot work it out.
