Re: Jack McCrae

I see it as a question of percentages, we offer to take on his full salary in addition to draft picks, say the dog’s first or second round. Half his salary their second or third round etc. If geelong got Bowes and a draft pick for the salary dump, we should be demanding even more given that McCrae i...

Get f#### Stocker off

Watching the replay and lip reading RTB at 5:06 left in the last, yells into the phone get Stocker off… heat of the moment, but obviously upset about structures behind the ball. My reading, if Steele didn’t make a last minute spoil swans were out and Stocker in no man’s land. Positional know how see...

Very happy for sideburns Hayes. Re: Dunstan, Long and Dmac

I happen to have a good deal of respect for DMac, S. High effort player, always honest, not drowning in self belief, but keeps having a crack. Very good athlete, short a little poise from time to time, sure, but the beaming grin when he strikes a blow for the right side of the argument is always wor...

I can't kick, I can't handpass, my singing voice frightens small children. Named in the centre for Sandy on Sunday. Can’t wait to see this guy play. Transition soecialist apparently - super quick, ball carrier, beautiful long kick. Could he be the kind of guy to help transform the team? Looking at us yesterday, with the likes of White, Coff, Hunter, Etc, lighting up the p...

Thought the lad deserves a mention. Always been a fan of his poise and decision making, but thought he could be a bit soft. 11 tackles today and physically becoming more of a presence. Building very nicely!

Reminds me of a couple of Garys. Lofts and Colling. If he is half as good as those two, I will be more than happy. At 4.30 he was tackled hard.. but managed to get the handball away to the advantage of Phillips. He just seems to have the ability to swivel many parts of his body, like a snake... The...

Re: Ameet Bains- Bulldogs do it again

Thinking of a replacement... SOS from Gws to Carlton seems to have helped the blues acquire players, maybe we should do something similar, someone who already has personal links with a player or two we are targeting... at least it wouldn't hurt

This forum is becoming less pleasant by the day. So many people just sticking the boots in constantly. The criticism of Jaxons and Ameet Bains has been deplorable...and by the usual suspects, of course. Really disappointing. It's no wonder I barely post on here these days. I notice quite a few have...

See I would would say that position 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 highlight our biggest problem... Billings, Webster, Gresh, Newnes, Steven All of those guys with the exception of perhaps Jimmy, should be A-Grade players... none of them played like it this season. Now Gresh is developing, Billings showed flashe...

What happened to Haynes?

Simple question.
No idea, but as a wild guess I could foresee us trading hickey for him and Jaxons has made a point of not commenting on actual players. Or, it could be that the winds have changed

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)

A longtime poster on the WCE page has called it 'Trade will be Gaff and pick 13 for picks 7 and 8.' we would most likely use pick 13 for Haynes. So Gaff and Haynes would be great additions. Good trading if this gets done Also explains the quietness on Haynes...that deal doesn't get done till the ga...

Re: Jaxons come on down (2017/18 thread)

Ok will tell you now Nick Haynes likely to be with us next year. Good player but is he what we really need? Should we be giving up a 1st round pick for a 3rd tall when we have Roberton, Gilbert & White who can play similiar roles. I thought this initially too, but look at most defensive units t...
