One of the best games of footy I've seen.

Vaas is concerned that Chinese operatives drugged our players at half time (lacing the water bottles) in revenge for cancelling the China game.
The rumour is that he and Stonecold plan to visit the Chinese Embassy soon and mete out some punishment.

That's what they actually played like for the last quarter and a half. Very chilled and nonchalant, as North threw the kitchen sink at us.

Re: WDYT? Saints got wiff of the impending news at half time?
If they found out at half time, it may very well have had a psychological impact. Sure they started the third well, but when the challenge came, they just had nothing and stopped.

Re: Saints v Roos Game Day Thread
I'm wondering if the players found out during the game that the AFL were about to cancel or postpone the season. Sure, Battle should've played ahead of Kent, but that had nothing to do with the loss, no excuse, we had them on toast up until midway through the third. The game should have been over by...

Great that we focussed on skill development over the summer and it is greatly improved. However, it appears that was at the detriment of fitness. We ran out of legs halfway through the third!
A really poor result, given that we should've iced the game early in the third.

Good to see you back Flux, what's Vaas Montenegro up to these days? I've heard different reports.
Some say he's on the ground in Wutan. Whilst some say he is taking Greta Thunberg on a sailing trip. Around Cape Horn.

ScoMo to announce a 4 week lockdown tomorrow. Take it to the bank. Interesting time frame that 4 weeks. Because that's all we can afford before we must go back to normal, whatever the consequences of that. Good news is that the virus is been successfully treated with a common (and cheap) anti-malar...

It is a different game with 16 minute quarters. The usual ebb and flow of the game is different and reduced. If you get on top early, you will usually win.

Re: We clearly haven't hit peak farce, as yet
Nothing to do with money. It’s to reduce the load on players as it is likely they will need to play more matches in any period. This might be 4 day breaks or 3 matches in 10 days. Ah, makes sense. I would've thought it better to extend the benches and maintain the normal length of games, given ther...

Its a shocker. Given that they're going ahead behind closed doors, the call on the 17 game AFL season and cutting the AFLW short is knee jerk and premature.

The measures put in now need to be sustainable for up to 6 months, shutting everything down for 2 or 4 weeks isn’t going to achieve anything (Chief Medical Officer Prof Brendan Murphy covered all this this morning). The footy is a write off, that’s fine. But we can’t have schools close and business...
