I thought that one of the commentators said he was with the medical staff a few times during the game.

Elevation from Rookie List

With Lenny gone for the year can a rookie get elevated onto the senior list? I'm thinking Tommy would be good and hopefully would show the spirit demonstated in the international games over the summer.

RIP Doc. You were the one who took us to that one and only Flag.

I saw that first game you played in 1962 at Vic Park vs the Pies, a win.

X does his other knee

Heard on the radio this evening that X Clarke did his right acl at training. He was a serial member of the injury list when with us and has not gone any better with the Lions. I feel sorry for him because he showed a lot of promise early and never got back to it once the injuries started. Gerard sai...

TW in the 2nd Test of IRS

Watched the replay last night and Joey was ok, saw little of Gilbo but the standout for me was Tommy especially in the second half when the Irish were making a stong comeback. Apart from some innacurate kicking and one marking duel where he got easily brushed aside his game was terrific. He was hard...

One seat needed

Looking for a seat (not standing room) for my daughter who is currently on leave in WA (Exmouth) and is willing to fly back to hopefully see the Sainters get up. She couldn't get a seat last week and considers herself as a good luck charm in attendance! Prepared to pay reasonable price above the cost.

My daughter is in Exmouth WA and is mad keen to see it live last this year. She couldn't get there last year and thinks she is the lucky magnet that will get us over the line. She has the funds to do the flights and I will cover the cost of the seat if one comes up. Anyone please help!

Lucky this year to get 2 ballot tickets. Didn't last year and went to join the queue at 4.00 am. Got seat allocations by 8.30 am. Long day and no reward. Got to be a good omen for the Saints this year! 1966 to 2010, 44 years gap, Milney's number, love him to upset Malthouse!

I'm nervous before every Saints game, even the pre season games let alone the finals. I have just turned 60 yo and was 16 when we won the only flag. I have spent a lot of nervous energy over the last 44 years with no payback in flags but received plenty in other games and moments. I'm very nervous a...

I just thought that if we were to rest some players this weekend then not much point in putting in Heyne or Lynch who have proved that they are not up to it so why not give these guys a try? But if they are ineligible I guess we have to wait until next year to see what they are like in the big league!

Tommy Walsh & Steven Gaertner

Tommy in the best again for Sandy last weekend. Thats 7 times out of 18 matches. His total best player points according to the Sandy website stats schedule is 24, equal with Tom Lynch. Tom Simpkin scored 25 and Steven Gaertner 26. There was only 2 Sandy players who rated higher, Tragear and Gallaghe...

Also in the 1966 season the Saints played the Pies at Vic Park in round 10, they beat us by 73 pts when we were on top but equal with them on points. Pies went to and remained on top for the remaining rounds thereafter bar one and finished on top, we finished second. Pies beat us by 10pts in second ...

I was at the game at the Junction Oval vs Dons and he had 5 goals on the board before half time and then went down with that knee injury from which he never recovered. A tragedy for the Saints as we were looking dangerous until then. We lost that game after being well up at the time he went down. So...
