Re: Fantastic Saturday afternoon at the footy
What a great day, had a ball. Great atmosphere created by Saints fans, i never thought a GWS game would be so exciting! That Eli goal was the most enjoyable goal for a while, really got the place rocking! And I could actually enjoy it with my little boy. Bring back Saturday arvo footy! To top it of...

Re: Nice initiative from the club
Funny, I'm a Moansh student and I didn't get offered a free ticket during O Week, but if this is true then it is a good idea because there is a large number of young people who aren't engaged with the footy and could potentially be won over.

Re: Where are the young supporters?
I'm 18 and I sit with my family on the Moorabbin wing. There are another couple of families with kids behind us, but other than that not too many young supporters near us. I was a Social Club member from 2010-2013 and would usually go in the Victory Room before the games and there would be some kids...

Re: Go you mighty SAINTAAAAAAHHHHZS!
Let's put this into perspective: we beat last years bottom two sides - just. But they will probably be better this year so two wins is not going to be enough to avoid the wooden spoon. I find it tough to see what matches we might win now - outside chances against Adelaide in Rd 4 and Brisbane in Rd ...

Re: Sponsorship - St Kilda at rock bottom
A NZ sponsor would be great, but I can't see that happening until St Kilda's profile in NZ grows a bit. At least we signed Watersun as coaches sponsor. Better than nothign at the moment.

Re: Gloomy outlook in heartland
What was the AFL thinking scheduling Carlton and Port at 7:40 on a Sunday night when people had work and school the next day? No wonder the crowd was an atrocious 24,460. When would you have played it? Okay, even taking into account the F1 it would have been better in a normal time slot on Sunday a...

I really like this ad and I take my hats off to the marketing department or whoever produced. It's just a shame that it wasn't around a little earlier so that it could be promote the club a bit better.

Re: 0-2, 1-1 or 2-0 after Round 2???
As much as it pains me to say it, I think we'll probably be 0-2 after Round 2. Minus injuries I think we could win both but now that looks beyond our reach.

Yep, Roo is about the only senior player left who could play in Round 1 - that means it must be time for him to get injured too.

Re: 2014 Preview - The Age
I am interested to see how many and which of, our young players make it. Some have already written Seb Ross off, I have'nt yet. At this stage it looks like the best of the youngsters are Webster, Wright, Longer, Dunstall. We have'nt seen the best of Billings yet I know, and we have seen very little...

Re: Good news re Rd 1
I have to agree, with all of our outs in the midfield Melbourne are comfortably ahead of us in that area. But we're in with a chance now that their forward will probably be even more impotent than ours. Not expecting us to win but I will wait and see.

Re: Junction Oval on the brink of collapse
I wish people would stop creating this negative perception around Seaford. And we all know that perception is reality. As far as the location goes, how is it that different from Essendon's new base at Tullamarine?

Had this problem last year Bazza, and there was no difference... I don't think anything will have changed this year.Bazza1970 wrote:What compensation do 16 game members get, considering we have already paid for the away match with Richmond?

Re: Ladder predictor 2014
Anyone who is predicting St Kilda will finish outside of the bottom 4 is in for a nasty surprise. Maybe if we had an easier draw but we don't. Here are my predictions: 1. Hawthorn 2. Fremantle 3. Sydney 4. Essendon 5. North Melbourne 6. Richmond 7. West Coast 8. Geelong 9. West Coast 10. Collingwoo...
