Spot on, I would still rate him as the best player available.dragit wrote:Just maybe we rate Saad as the best player available... He's already played some very good football at the highest level, which in reality, most rookies will never do.

Yep, that's what I've been hearing as well.....inconsistent effort.....I'm sure he'll get the support he needs to make sure he gives his all 100% of the time for the mighty red white and black.

Tom Lamb at 21 or 22
Not sure which players have been earmarked by Tony Elshaug and Ameet Bains for picks 21/22 but I've had a look at a couple of highlight reels for Tom Lamb and seriously this guy could be anything  Who said there's no room for sentiment in footy? His grandfather Ian Cooper was a Saints champ and...

Re: Shaun McKernan for Stanley?
I picked this.......just call me Nostradamus!
I see him as more of an option up forward, we've got more than enough ruckmen - looking forward to seeing how Lewie Pierce comes on next year - think he'll be a good 'un.

Shaun McKernan for Stanley?
Hi Guys, Not sure if this has been raised already but how about the prospect of bringing in Shaun McKernan from Adelaide with a view to possibly having a ready made replacement for Rhys Stanley. Not sure that he's as good as Rhys is (on a good day) but might be worth considering if we can get him fo...

Re: Elshaugh on the Draft
This conjecture about who we should be picking up as the number one draft pick is making me very nervous. I haven't seen many of these top 10 hopefuls play but people that are in the know are saying that Petracca is the best player in the draft by a fair margin and so given that and also given the f...

Sandy is definitely red, white & black. Eddie was it again though.......at one stage he said something along the lines of 'how can these guys expect to get a priority pick when they're going to knock off the second placed team'. Eddie, please leave your Collingwood Prez hat at home when you're c...

Re: Troy Menzel
Really annoying little t**d, too much ego for mine and has not proven himself at this level yet. You'd have to have rocks in your head to offer him $2.5M over 5 years. Can't believe he got a rising star nomination this week off a game where he racked up the grand tally of 9 disposals (his average fo...

Re: TDL. What is a pass mark for Sunday?
While on the subject of Terry Milera, can we please give him some decent game time and stop dropping him every couple of weeks? We are crying out for guys that have decent foot skills and he is one of the few; thought he'd been pretty good since he came back into the side.

Re: Coach choices?
Was happy with the appointment of AR at the start of the year and despite the many losses we've endured this year, I've been patient because we're rebuilding and I know it's going to be a long way back. I'm not saying sack the coach but I am getting a bit concerned at the way we are losing games. A ...

Re: TDL. What is a pass mark for Sunday?
I wish some of you guys would cut him some slack; he's played some really good games for Sandy this year and probably would have been in the team earlier if he hadn't been injured. He doesn't get a lot of possies but is a real opportunist who find the goals on a regular basis normally kicking his 2 ...

Sammy Loewe could definitely make it on what I've seen so far - seen him play for his school a couple of times this year and he is a real goer. At this stage, he's short compared to Stewie (although he's still only 15 so he could put on a few cms later on) but he's a real in and under midfielder typ...

Re: Hickey breakout game
I'm rapt in what I've seen of Tom Hickey in the first couple of games, will be the best ruckman we've had since Spider in my opinion. To be brutally honest, I don't like Darren Jolly and was a bit disappointed that the club brought him on board but you have to start to think that with Tom Hickey's d...

I don't care what player it is, so please don't come on in reply sticking it Beau again, that is not the point. The act of bronx cheering one of our own is completely unacceptable. What are we? Loved Tom Hickey's game last night......his tap work and mobility is really impressive. For all those that thought that we gave up too much to get him across from GCS, think again. He's potentially a far better ruckman than Ben McEvoy is and will be around for a long long time with the mighty Sainte...
