Re: HARLEY BENNELL
Why do we even need quick fixes? A long way off yet. Risks are ok sometimes, perhaps if we were contending with a mature bunch beyond influence... Bringing in Harley to coexist with a very young developing playing group that probably won't even play finals next year makes zero sense. Smells to me, ...

Re: HARLEY BENNELL
2nd rounder and Geary. Do they need someone who is incapable of kicking or handballing to our advantage but has courage to burn? Boring. Either way, still think Bennell is a risk we can take. Everyone is continuing to compare this to the Lovell trade but I don't think we can let a past decision wha...

Re: HARLEY BENNELL
Yep, 2nd rounder - deal! Remember all the flogs who didn't want Dustin Martin... Maybe we could do a straight swap. Geary and Ray for Bennell. You are so boring. Anyway a second rounder isn't getting it done. What about a second round pick and Farren Ray? Apparently GC are after mature players. Far...

Re: Farren Ray is garbage
Ray has been a solid contributor for the club, but I think it's time to ship him off somwhere else. There are some kids that are being played infront of him and I personally would like to keep it that way. Keep getting games into the kids.

Re: F@#king Umpires
I'm still trying to comprehend the Dunstan free kick against I think in the third where he went in hard, won the footy, proceeded to have his head ripped off and was pinged for holding the ball. That decision left me speechless. The umpiring did seem extremely one sided (towards West Coast). We were...

Re: Jimmy Webster's courage
He's the type of player any coach would love. Pure guts mixed in with a fair chunk of skill. Probably due to his Tassie heritage - they seem to build them tough and hard down there. Well done Jimmy! Coming from Tassie he probably had a second head at one stage, to which he cut off himself! lol Toug...

Holding the ball were obviously buzz words for the umpires this weekend.Johnny Member wrote:I think they were awful, yet again, in relation to the 'holding the ball' rule.
Melbourne got dudded plenty of times in regards to that one.
It's the most poorly officiated rule in the game. Yet should be so simple.

Re: Boyd requests trade to Bulldogs - How did we miss this??
Pick 6 plus Griffen to gws seems fair. Then gws can send us pick pick 4 and 6 for pick 1. Gws still end up with griff patful and petracca. Fair off season. Lets be more aggressive if they really want Petrecca, wait until Carlton deal for Jascke done and go 1 and 20 for 4,6,7. We wont get 3 top 10 p...

Great user of the football, awful at defending. Don't see it as being a huge loss. Either way we were going to have some tough years ahead.

Re: Positives from the Tigers game.
Happy with Savage , Longer, Minchington, Delaney, Shenton, Milera and Webster(though he should be on ball or forward of centre)..all will improve. Stanley did a few good things, but just needs to be consistent and do it more often. Negatives to me are from a coaching perspective- team again not swi...

Just sharing some thoughts. Don't see anything wrong with that. Nothing wrong with it at all and Im saying it wont happen and why I think it shouldnt happen. You could easliy be right because the coaches may decide we need to change something up. I just dont think that should be the change up. Well...

Re: changes for next week
AS much as it most likely wouldn't happen, I would not be disappointed if Riewoldt played a high half forward/wing, working from 50 to 50, and have 1 or 2 of either Stanley/Siposs/Lee/Maister playing in the forward 50 demanding the football. Riewoldt is such an imposing figure down there, he basical...

Wow. Umpires get a bit carried away on the field! Surely he can't go for that considering all the ones that have gone to the match review and gotten off in recent weeks.

I think some people need to sit back and, grab some fresh air and have a look at the way they are conducting themselves on this forum. For someone to make things personal, like what has gone on in this thread is a disgrace. At the end of the day this is a fan forum and it is is full of St.Kilda supp...
