Re: Saints Linked To James Frawley
I think it unseemly to be circling with vultures trying to pick over the caucus of a team that is clearly suffering. If he is a good player and has got any heart he should stay at Melbourne and fight to the end.

Their interim coach could have been Harvey if he had stayed on at the Blues.

Will Carlton have a new coach for Sunday's game following the press conference they have called for Monday?

Here's a question so we don't have to dwell on last night's game ; Who would you like to watch a Saints match with and why? A past player?....eg Banger Current player?....eg Roo Famous supporter? ...eg Molly Someone famous that you want to introduce to the game?... eg Obama For me I would love to go...

Re: Kosi without a touch in the first half
Love you Kosi...but seriously time to pull the plug. Its becoming embarrassing. Bit like the boxer who goes on to fight one too many fights. Clearly only being picked because the cupboard is bare.

Re: changes for next week
...rest ALL the senior players and play ALL of our kids against GWS to get a measure on our kids potential. I know it won't happen because we would be accused of tanking. I just hope we don't go out and thump GWS by 10+ goals next week and crow about it.

One bright moment
I had to smile when I saw Peda in the coaches box. Looked very serious in the official gear and under strict orders to sit up the back and shut up. Great to have him as a Saints supporter.
..... looked drained and gutted at the end of the game as we all were.

Well done Sherlock. ... this article was little more than self evident self congratulatory tripe. I don't mind Walls opinion sometimes but this was effort was naive. "Roo has a woobly knee"...no kidding

I suspect that Hamill has had an influence in the way Wilkes plays. That tackles on Cross reminded me of Hamill's on Polo

"Watter's upbeat"...I would expect nothing less. He presents as positive and emotionally mature......the opposite of me during after a loss. I'm more akin to Clarkson

We needed to win that one !
That was the game we really needed to win to keep our finals chances alive and make up for those soft losses earlier in the year. I got the impression watching the players and Watters today that they had the same view. The effort was there but when the loss was apparent the shoulders where a little ...

Re: Judd - Am I missing something?
Forget the MRP points system. 27.45% for this with plus sigma times your birthday for intentional. That was beyond the pale. ....OUT FOR THE YEAR !.....at a minimum. That is on par with Mike Tyson's efforts

So the quickest way for Tasmania to get a club would be to get at least 50k Tasmanians to buy a North Melbourne membership that includes voting rights and vote on a move to Tasmania.
On this logic I suspect Tasmania has poured enough cash into the Hawks to own them outright!

Re: Be careful New Zealand
As to your first point, I agree that Tasmania is unlikely to get an AFL team soon. That's my point! The die has been cast ... I won't see a Tasmanian team in my lifetime. The quality league is poorer for that. As to your second point, I am comfortable with his qualifications. There are dimmer light...

Re: Be careful New Zealand
Second, Tasmanian might not be a growth area ..... that's just the way we like it! well, you can have it that way. but you're unlikely to get an afl team any time soon. The fact is Tasmania does have the population and the numbers in terms of dollars do stack up. This is confirmed by an “appropriat...

Re: Be careful New Zealand
P 66 you have missed something… The point ! First, Tassie don't get any games. Hawthorn and North Melbourne play 6 games in Tasmania. The Tasmanian public pay for them to do so. Second, Tasmanian might not be a growth area ..... that's just the way we like it! Third, are you seriously suggesting tha...

Re: Be careful New Zealand
Taz, the problem I see with Tassie getting a team is the lack of population. As you'd know, this population is then split three ways (south, north and NW). Could the people ever even decide on a venue to play home games out of??? I doubt it. Tasmanians are surely a parochial lot. However, I have abs...
