Re: No AA Squad for Marshall
Clearly the so-called selectors just drew names out of a hat. Unbelievable.

Re: Was that Howard's best game for us?
Great game from Dougs.
Bit hard to tell from the TV broadcast but it appeared as if he drew the umpire's attention to the fact that he was bleeding which gave the team some extra time to set up for those last few seconds as he wandered off.

Perhaps we need to hire Dangerfield as our advocate when a Saint goes up to the tribunal.

Re: Good kicks taking short kicks
Short kicks from the goal square drive me spare. Surely Corey Enright can set structures in place to deal with long kick-ins.
Seeing the opposition get gift goals regularly from missed short kicks from the goal square are game killers.

Re: AFL Dont have a drug issue....
Struggling with the concept that people in the AFL arena are surprised that something like this could (allegedly) happen with the AFL Drugs Policy as it stands.
Will be interesting to see what WADA or whatever the local offshoot is called these days makes of these claims.

Re: Stocker Free
From her recent interview by Eddie and his mates it would seem that Laura Kane would be an ideal politician - quite a bit of waffle and a lack of substance in her answers. Still a very reactive organisation the AFL. Despite all their supposed concerns re concussion their week to week interpretations...

Far from a fan of the NRL system. I hope that the AFL does not go down a similar path.

Re: Bye bye Maynard
What's being lost here is that if Maynard had time to think about 'bracing' and the ability to brace, then he obviously has time to avoid hitting Brayshaw in the head. Once the footy has gone past Maynard, his instinct tells him he still needs to 'impact the contest'. While in the air he leans his ...

Re: Crows v swans
It's a conspiracy between the footy gods and the AFL I'm sure  Expect the usual grovelling apology from the AFL - yep, we got it wrong (again). Goal umpire is banished to the reserves in outback South Australia and all is well. AFL has "solved" the problem. The goal umpire was wel...

Also the decision to pay a mark to a Geelong player after it had bounced off the hands of one of his teammates in front of him .... I suppose AFL is a bit like cricket - the ball didn't touch the ground.

Lost both my parents to multiple myeloma - Mum in 1993 and Dad in 2013. Medicine made some leaps forward between those years but still more needs to be done to defeat this wretched cancer.

Re: Is Caminiti in trouble?
Does it mean that there are two outcomes for the same action - if you concuss the person you get several weeks, if they play on with no ill affects you perhaps cop a week or maybe a fine. Now the AFL issue bans based on how much of a glass jaw someone has even though the action was the same. Have I ...

Re: Max King to miss months
As they say timing is everything, so there is some silver lining to Max being hurt this far out. Lenny and co may need to tweak their game plan and it does give the coaches the chance to trial a variety of options before the season starts. Cordy has played up forward with modest success. Don't know ...
