Re: I do not know what else I can do to help us win
Santorum & Yorkeys, you have articulated my thoughts precisely. I was worried about this game, having memories of 2021 v Melbourne when the players seemed drained of energy & enthusiasm right from the start. A similar lethargy was evident this year v Essendon. (IMO). By all means StK can hon...

Re: Baffling selections costing us any chance
Agree entirely. Goal kickers seem to escape criticism from the coach & others. Their role/job is to lead, take a mark & kick a goal. No excuses for missing a set shot from right in front, IMO.

Re: Thanks to an absolute champion - Chips calls it quits
Great "Thank You" video from Chips on StKFC website today. He spoke from the heart about his 13 years with the club, and thanked all who'd been involved in his career, not forgetting the fans & supporters. A champion player & a champion person. Thanks Sam!

Re: POLL: who do you WANT to win the flag?
I want the Buldogs to win. Like us, they've had to struggle against the odds with a poor venue deal, unpopular time slots, minimum free to air cover, and lack of the ultimate success. This year they've had season ending injuries, yet the players & coach have remained upbeat and positive. They ar...

[quote="The_President"]Some of the posters on here are crazy. "We have a young core who just managed to finish the season in 9th place. They all seem to get along pretty well too, which is massive. What do you think happens to the group dynamic of we go out and pay huge money to get s...

No! Club is developing a winning culture & there seems to be genuine excitement among the players even though we are unlikely to slip into 8th position.

Re: Brendon Judas Goddard
Drafted to us when we were at a lowly ebb from a Carlton-loving family and never looked back. Gave his all for the club. And then some. Drove incredibly high standards. Probably needed a change of scenery; was clearly emotionally affected by the 2009-10 defeats. Didn't hold the club to ransom or de...

Kicking Goals.
We were never going to win v WCE in Perth, but how much better would our score have looked if our missed shots had been goals. From memory Roo missed 2, with another out on the full. Membrey missed 2, Bruce missed 1, and another failed to score, Lonie & Billings also missed shots at goal. Very f...

Yes, walking distance to the Adelaide oval. I stayed at "Meridien Hotel & Apartments" in Melbourne St last year. ( not for football).desertsaint wrote:if you can find a room i'd recommend north adelaide - great pubs and cafes, beautiful old area, and a short walk to the ground.
Reasonably priced.

Re: Starting to Feel Excited About the 2015 Season Ahead
Yes, I'm starting to feel excited about the 2015 season, and I'd like to see - a more attacking style of play, with quicker ball movement, and players prepared to back themselves and shoot for goal if within range. ( less reliance on Roo). - players able to kick accurately to a target player, rather...

We need to market ourselves as "St.Kilda FC", not "Saints".
Our website should be http://www.stkildafc.com.au
Agree! & I feel strongly about this. There are many "Saints" football clubs in country areas and the suburbs, but only one ST KILDA FC.

Would not want to miss that. 3.00 pm Line up at gate ( May be crowded). Go to seat. (Possibly walk up to Level 3) 2.50 pm. Start march. Will need to be...
