Re: Positives
Long - loved his workrate today. He was often the link up player and constantly presented up the wing. Shame he couldn't have finished off with a goal, deserved it. Hanners - the guy is just a class above. If only he can stay injury free and fit. He really adds some much needed polish. Having him in...

Re: According to fox Dunstan wants a two year contract
I must be watching a different no 7 running around because to me he's very good below the knees. His hands are exceptionally quick and he along with Steele are the ones in and under dishing the ball out. He is always first in and goes in hard. Anyway, hope we sign him up. He's still young and will c...

Re: According to fox Dunstan wants a two year contract
He does a lot of the hard stuff and a lot of selfless stuff. He doesn't rack up huge possessions but his impact at the contest is significant. We are a better side with him in it and i think his teammates would agree with that.
In a nutshell, he's a required player so get it done Saints.

Just want to highlight Hunter Clark, particularly to the fools who said he was no good after a handful of games.

Re: Matty Parker Goal Celebrations
I love Matty and his celebrations. I am sick of the robotic world we are creating where no one is allowed to have a bit of flair or personality. Keep up the good work Matty, glad you got to celebrate a round that meant a lot to you personally.

5. Seb Ross. Solid for 4 qtrs 4. Jack Billings. When boy became man. Strong game. 3. Rowan Marshall. Such a difference to have a ruckman who can get possies (and kick goals!). 2. Blake Acres. Great second half. Just as i said its time for him to step, he did. Kept us in it that third qtr. 1. Jack Lo...

Re: Luke Dunstan
I like him, always have. I think his in and under work and quick hands either doesn't get the praise it deserves or goes unnoticed. He does a lot of the grunt work and i think his role can be "unglamorous" at times. Sure he's had bad patches of form but ultimately i like our team better wh...

Re: The Bleedin' obvious
Yep, he is crucial to our team. I posted earlier i watched him closely today. Every time he was off the ground we barely won a clearance. When he was in there, our midfield looked strong. He just does so much in the contest. Whether its positioning himself so his teammate can get the ball, or so his...

5. Jack Steven - watched him closely today. Every time he was off the ground we struggled out of the middle. His impact in there is pivotal. He doesn't play today we lose. 4. Josh Bruce - welcome back. Just an all round solid game, and a crucial mark to save us. 3. Jack Steele - never said die. Quie...

Re: Stephen Milne Career Highlights
Finally watched it all. That took me back to some great times. I owe this man my childhood memories! It was something to be able to relive them! Some of those goals i don't think I've seen since watching them live. Milney was my hero and got me through when the Saints were all that got my spirits up...

Jiggster, i consider you one of the most passionate saints people i have come across, both on this forum and at the footy. For you to give the reaction you did speaks volumes about where this club is heading. Not only am i frustrated, disappointed and angry, I'm also worried and fearful of what's to...

Re: PR Issues
I am in the same boat with regard to how flat i feel about the team at the moment. I think our biggest problem is, all our players are the same. They play the same, move the same, act the same. Besides Gresham and Steven, there is no excitement and no flair. No one that gets under the opposition's s...

Re: Team v Blues
Seriously can someone please tell me what Newnes does each week to justify his selection? I am obviously missing something. Please, someone give me an explanation??? As for Acres, he is in our top 10 players (being generous to a few) and could easily argue top 5. Again, can someone please explain to...

Re: Weak selection policy AGAIN!
This selection just exemplifies why we are doing so poorly as a team. No accountability. It really is insanity. Would it have hurt to be bold, drop a couple and make a statement? Looks like we are happy with our onfield performance. If not its a bizarre way of showing it. I at least hope we swap a f...

Re: Who comes in this week?
If we don't have the balls to drop "name" players how about we at least try them in a different position? Switch Billings with Newnes - i know Newnes isn't a renowned goal kicker but who exactly in our team is? Play Acres on the ball, move Carlisle forward and give Gresh more stints in the...

Re: Can anyone remember a more bleak outlook than now ?
I look at the Richo signing and to me it just exemplifies the St Kilda FC.. accepting mediocrity. Honestly what does that signing tell the rest of the club including other coaches and players? You don't have to do a hell of a lot to get another contract. It pretty much just sums up the club and its...

Re: No Dunstan!!
Are we picking players who are nice instead of guys who can play? Only explanation i can think of for Dunny... From what i saw he had an impressive preseason. Has to be something going on behind the scenes. You don't just leave out a player who played super well the last 6 games and looked the goods...

Re: LIFT YOUR GAME SAINTS....
To me it looks like they put all their effort into the Facebook and Instagram pages instead. I guess this is fine for my generation who are addicted to social media, but for the rest, our website is the main resource for information and its our official page so its pretty poor. On a side note I'm se...

Re: What do you need to see Wednesday night?
As a contributor to that negative post here's what I'd like to see, keeping in mind its a preseason game so my mind won't be made up either way based on this performance. That being said, the following would be nice: Dunstan to blitz, I'm talking best on ground with a goal or two. McCartin to make a...

Re: I want to be excited about the season.
For me it really hasn't helped having to watch the Dogs and the Tigers win one. You'd think watching teams who've had no recent success (or minimum success) like us would give me hope, but its actually had the opposite effect. It just makes me feel like I'm going to witness every other team win a fl...
