Re: StKFC.. The hapless 5 ring circus

The coaching appointment will sort itself out. IMO what StK needs to address is it's home base. Is it Seaford or is it Moorabbin ? The Seaford option, from an outsiders point of view, doesn't appear to have been a great success, in fact again if anything it's been a source of division within your cl...

Re: SOS II ?

Re ''Scheme Of Arrangement''. Club creditors were paid 18c in the $. Creditors at the time included people such as Alan Jeans, Barry Breen, Jimmy O'Dea.
When asked why he accepted the S.O.A. Alan Jeans was said '' Well what else can you do, send the club bankrupt'' ?

Nuh, Lindsay had the opportunity to do that when he was Prez in the 80s. Instead entered into the now (in)famous ''Scheme Of Arrangement''.

Re: So how was it??

We were on Level 3 aisle 13-14 and it wasn't too bad. The boos were easy to ignore and when Milne kicked his goals or actually got a free for a perfect tackle we all stood and clapped. There was one Carlton cretin behind us who thought it would be funny to insult the Saints female behind by referri...

Re: Goddard hits back at Westaway

I don't think you guys should be too worried. Because it's all about $$$$ s not the club.
It's happened before , a good example would to change the names. Aaron Hamill becomes Brendon Goddard.

Same story.

More than likely, not only were St Kilda the first club to approach him, but also the ONLY club to make an approach to him. I'm looking forward to your "BJ will leave to carlton next year" thread you carlton troll :) anyway agree that it's good to have him on board. Would like to see him ...

Well, we gave it our best shot, and came up short. Bad luck, but life is like that. To win over there would have (probably) exceeded expectations. Bloody good effort though. Looking ahead to next year and beyond, I think we're on track to go all the way. I think one thing we'll all agree on , is it ...

After the pre season uproar, Gilbert has probably been at the head of the queue heading for the exit door.
St Kilda would have been hoping he had a big 2010 to lift his currency.
Even if he wants to stay, it's highly he'll be there next year.

Pleased to see you guys win. (self interest y'know) Makes losing to Colonwood a tad more bearable. I watched WC dismantle the Blues a fortnight ago, so I rate the Saints performance yesterday.
Plenty of interest in the rest of the season, and finals also.

Top player was Val. Also a legend at Carlton. Not just for his on field exploits, but also his handling of a ''few'' frothies. After the '82 GF he ''shotgunned'' 37 cans of VB in Whale Roberts' South Melbourne pub. There was a plaque on the wall at the pub commemorating this feat. It read something ...

I remember Robert ? can't remember his name we got from the Swans had been made to crawl multiple laps of the scg as punishment in the mid 90s era. Good coaching I can't remember any Swans coach making his team do that, but the story of Don Scott making the SANFL team he coached crawl laps of the o...
