Re: April 17, 1993 @ Vic Park - Who was there?

I was there as a 19 year old with a mate and some family members. It rates as one of my favourite football memories. Was sitting in the outer with a mixed crowd, but remember heaps of saints supporters there. Was a brilliant win! I also remember getting quite a few dirty looks on the way to the car,...

Re: Oh when the saints

I love it, so does my 8 year old son. We're both Melb City supportrers, so we enjoy active crowd involvement, one of the things that drew me to the A League. We hold our scarves up and sing proudly.

Re: Creating a cauldron atmosphere at St Kilda Games

I definitely noticed the great atmosphere on Sat night. I sat in the goalzone area which was half full, but the crowd sounded brilliant! We definitely have one of the most passionate supporter bases but need the extra numbers, which I hope come with success. Would love to see a couple of standing ba...

Where were half of our cheersquad yesterday? There were about 20 of them behind the goals.

I also went to both games, was livid about Tird playing, remember booing his every touch! God I wish we'd beaten them.

Re: Proud

Is it just me, or has the passion in the stands finally returned as well. Great atmosphere the last few home games, win or lose.
Crappy umpiring has helped too, we all look feral again! Good stuff fellow Sainters.

Re: AFL Legend- - Tony Lockett

I remember watching Plugger giving token chases through the centre after his opponent, was hilarious! The crowd used to erupt with laughter! No one would sheppard for their team mate though!

Best player I've ever seen, favourite memory was 91 final at Waverley when he went on a goal scoring spree in the 2nd quarter.

Yeah, those attending member stats are surprising me this year. There were heaps of Eagles supporters that day, prob 5,000, so you'd think about 15-16K would be StKFC members.

Re: Sunday Confession: Post here if you felt like doing a ru

My confession is that I decided to take my 7 year old to the City/Victory game the night before and give the Saints game a miss this week. Great decision that was, we got spanked and I missed our greatest ever comeback. The footy gods don't like me!

I always tip against the Saints, it's a tipping comp not a loyalty test. If anyone questions my loyalty, I just show them my 24 membership cards.

Saw Lenny and a few mates putting bets on at a pub in Port Douglas mid November. And a few nights later with his family at a restaurant. Decided not to bother the great man!

Haha, I recently had a flashback of those toilets when I went to watch my nephew play at Koo Wee Rup footy ground.
Same putrid smell, same concrete design. Ahh, memories!!

Re: Cheersquad-CRISIS POINT? !!

The lack of passion from our current cheersquad is a real concern. I sit in the bay next to them and can't believe what I see most weeks. After exciting goals, I look at them for a reaction and see no passion from 95% of them. Some of the younger girls can't takes their eyes off their mobiles. There...

Re: Going to the game alone.

Yep, I find standing is better when you're on your own. And don't forget, you can play with your phone - wow, I sound like a real loser! Where would we be without mobile phones, I remember rocking up at pubs before your mates pre-phones, and feeling like a right wanker, just doing laps of the pub. N...

Go to plenty of game alone. My love of the Saints outweighs any feelings of being a scottie!

Go and support Lenny and enjoy! Cheers.
