Re: Gilbert cost us the game!

He probably saved one but cost three, he's never been a great user of the ball. We wasted too many opportunities so can't just point the finger at Gilbo alone.

Why was he so positive? Clearly didn't see this coming!

Club needs to make a statement - IMMEDIATELY !
Just heard on SEN that SW requested the interview.

Re: Leave your tributes here for Kosi - to be printed

I'm probably too late for any sort of publication but I don't care, just need to add my thoughts. Gonna miss you out there in the Red White and Black mate. Some of my favourite moments as a Saints fan is yelling "KOSIIIIIII" as you took some of your signature contested marks. I hope you're...

Re: Leave your tributes here for Blakey - to be printed

Well done on your career Blakey. The very definition of a team player. Your ability to nullify opposition forwards was second only to your heart and commitment to the cause. This club would have much more silverware if we had more of your ilk.

Sad to see you go Milney. You've been a part of some of the happiest times supporters of this club have seen. We'll miss you.

Re: Live Best and Fairest updates

Thought it would have been closer between Rooey and Jack. Maybe its the midfielders medal like Brownlow. Rooey's already won like 10 of them or something so I don't think it's always a midfielders medal. Good point. Jack took it up another notch this year for sure - looks liked being groomed for ca...

Michael Voss?

In the half time break in the Hawks/Swans qualifier Michael Voss mentioned he would still like to coach and that a senior assistant role would be his likely outcome. Should we be looking to get him to Seaford? He was admittedly out of his depth in his first couple of seasons but the last couple have...

First instinct is a big NO. However, if he comes cheaply enough and can provide a bit of magic, then could be worth a shot. Would need to be keen to play for us though.

I went to the Hawthorn B&F in 2008 (my Hawks fan brother won free tickets) and they had a stream up. Don't know if they have done it since though.

I wonder who was responsible for this, preempting the announcement that is. Maybe a pissed off site maintainer down in Geelong.

Simple really, if MG's 100% fit (or close enough) he plays, else Big Ben from Dederang plays.

I've always rated Leo Barry's mark in the 2005 GF simply because of the situation. Given that criteria, BJ's is far superior and had the Saints got up surely the most influential mark of all time. Pity really. Cometh the hour, cometh the man, and boy did BJ cometh!

Mini is the ultimate role playing footballer, no-one notices him most weeks but he keeps getting selected and there's a good reason. Mini's games shouldn't be judged via opinion or stats that champion data supply, keep your eye on him for a while just behind the play. Saints footy has been the catch...

Just watching the replay now and I think he had more influence on the game than I thought, heaps of just of the play efforts, pressure and harassing the opponent. Would still like to see him break open the play more though, hopefully an extra week will help.

The Folks in M15 standing were great, we had mostly pies fans in front of us and every time the "Coooooolingwoooood" chant went up we countered well. Hard to know what the rest of the ground sounded like though as you're really boxed in there and the "St. Kilda. Clap Clap Clap" r...

He played a true captain's game. A spirited performance. I have more respect for him now than before the game (which isn't saying much) and he lifts their side more than any else. A forward tag is needed. Maybe keeping Gilbert up forward? This, always thought he looked better than he was as he rare...

I'd prefer extra time (I hated leaving the ground with this strange feeling) but we all knew what the result would be come a draw. If the AFL change it they change it but all we know now is there will be a game next Saturday at 2:30pm.

I was secretly worried we would get belted last year and the boys certainly didn't let that happen. This year I'm quietly confident, not overconfident or cocky, but I know the boys are good enough to not only beat the pies (a la round 3) but good enough to beat them in a GF. Is it going to be easy? ...
