what irks me is that channel 7 was happy to show a free kick count when it was all even or close to but they wouldnt put up the free kick count at the end of the game because in the last quarter the free kicks fell all one way. There is no doubt Hawthorn were robbed and anyone who cant see that has ...

maybe we need his run at back but if he cant shake a tag there , let him chase the ball . I know the game was dead but ive watched the replay and he did actually help force the ball our way in the last quarter . The start of the game we had dempster start in the centre square . I dont know if he was...

Gilbert in the midfield
I thought the one positive on a dismal night was the last quarter move of Gilbo into the midfield . Only then did we look to have any potency at the bounce and actually got some clean midfield take aways . I just thought it was one move that worked and could be trialled a bit more . I know he is val...

Well P66 is right stay out of the 50 BECAUSE if you are there some silly umpire will interpret the rules in a way that does not indicate common sense or consistency and his boss will droll out the usual pc drivel i.e that it was a correct decision pfftt and all us supporters will wonder well why doe...

All 3 Lenny , Roo and BJ are vitally important for us to play our best football but there is one thing I disagree with Big Red on . Yes Rooey could play anywhere but his field kicking is nowhere in the class of BJ so in that sort of role he would not be nearly as effective. There is something specia...

Took a couple of contested marks . Made a silly mistake on the goal line with his lack of urgency. A silly free kick on the half forward flank for melbourne with his interference with a demon forward with the ball coming in. And a lot of junk posessions. All in all another ordinary game against extr...

Well I am with Teflon. I believe the club is derelict in its duty to Bakes by not taking every course of action open to it either afl approved or not if that be an independant court ect; I dont know the legalities of restraint of trade or discrimination when it comes to sporting bodies and maybe the...

If the people trusted with running our club dont take this as far as they can ( if that be the supreme court and restraint of trade , miscarriage of justice so be it ) ect then that is just as great a miscarriage as the tribunal itself. And all those people out there saying its stkildas fault go and...

Stand up and fight Stkilda
We have a history of taking lame tribunal decisions with not even a murmur when we get shafted. Here is your chance St Kilda ......fight for Baker , and if we lose keep fighting . This was trial by media (Boofhead journalists and low iq Former players) . Where is the Stkilda president saying the AFL...

after getting home from the game watched the taped game again. One thing stood out , how we butchered the ball in the first half BUT after half time our disposal was much more efficient . Short passes to leading players with a defender on their hammer were surprisingly good and allowed us to maintai...

I agree with BigMart here . Whipping boys is a silly phrase. Supporters arent whipping them . Just their take on the players performance. Watched the replay again and thought it was one of the better Stkilda performances for a long while. Clearly dominated general play and should have won by a fair ...

well im not an abuser of stkilda players.....but i do have my heart in my mouth whenever raph has the ball in heavy traffic . Sometimes Gilbert too especially if he is coralled on his right side.... But I think Gilberts strengths far outweigh the negatives so people tend to accept that he will butch...

well yes gilbert does turn over the ball .... more than raph? that is highly questionable with the same ramifications as raph i.e goals to the opposition . again highly questionable. its the quality of raphs turnovers that burn into the viewers consciousness... some of them are so basic sometimes......

What a load of rubbish .....the race card. Fact is people bag Raph because his turnovers invariably result in goals to the opposition because they more often than not happen in defence . When he turns over the ball in defence often other defenders have zoned off to give him someone to kick to and wh...

Raph plays some good games but as the last poster said . He makes some inexcuseable errors that burn into your conscience and sometime negate all the good things he does. He could never be accused of lacking courage , is better in the air than most of our other defenders but if only he could elimina...

He is doing ok as a backman but still he offers nothing in pack marking contests so as such can be a liability if the ball is bombed in long , relying on holding , and impeding as his major efforts. Certainly is a penetrating kick , and is starting to use handball as an offensive weapon from defence...
